Spotting like-minded folk

So, you’re out and about and wanting to know where the like-minded folk are. Not everyone’s wearing a pineapple, so what are good ways of spotting other people within the lifestyle who’d be open to an approach?

Also, what are the best discrete ways of being noticed in a crowd yourself that might encourage others to come and say hi?

Hey it's Jay,

From looking at people you cannot tell... however by approaching people and chatting you may.

I used to go solo up town when I was single and I'd talk to tonnes of people... I've made lots of friends and had my fun along the way.

So to put it simple... don't be afraid to say hi.

As in you were at swingers events or out and about in general? That’s when I’m talking about.

The Art form of eye contact bidy language, etc. Is very fast dieing.

So sad we have to ask how to talk to people!!

"

Ha! Don’t worry, I’m very adept at talking to people, but that’s not what the original question was. It was more about what signs to spot for those living the lifestyle rather than “how do I talk to another human being?”

You can't spot people who are both swingers and willing to be approached by strangers in public. Firstly people who live this 24/7 aren't the majority and secondly being approached can be extremely awkward, trust us, we know.

By all means give it a go, we obviously give of a swingers vibe having been approached out if the blue in public places a few times but be prepared for a rebuff.

Approach with Caution.

Really its a real mindset & lifestyle!

Many cant and wont get their head around,so it becomes diluted.

To mey lifestyle is the way I live my life. I don't live my life wondering when my next swinging event will be I'm too busy with other life stuff.

Northern England

I remember bumping into a lovely couple at a charity cricket match - she was wearing an ankle bracelet. I gave her a broad smile, looked down at her anklet and followed that by a theatrical wink - which was reciprocated.

The three of us indulged in some small talk - but sadly nothing more became of the encounter - as I was with my grandson.

I had heard about a black ring on the right hand but it’s not a big thing according to some of the posts on FAB.

I genuinely got asked about, and told about it by a guy in the pub. It is because I have a black wedding band. No one down our local actually know we are looking to get into the lifestyle, but he proceeded to tell me he was.

He told me a pineapple key ring on display was another one. Or the upside down pineapple in the trolley , or one in the window or on the door step

The times we've been approached in public we've displayed no obvious signs at all. No pineapples, pampas grass, black rings or any indication that we swing.
