Playing bare with a fwb

I always play safe. However I’m curious. Often I see that some people will play bare with a trusted partner or fwb. What are your boundaries? Do they have to agree to play exclusively bare with you? Do you ask them? Just wonder when knowing someone a while and trusting become clear with unprotected sex?

We do play bare with a handful of regular trusted guys that we’ve met before, to indulge in specific kinks we have, but not very often. We test regularly and are up front about it, which is as careful as we can be to get what we like. We appreciate it isn’t for everyone.

A trusted regular partner is slightly different.

We don’t see how it makes any difference, you can’t really 100% guarantee who else they are or aren’t sleeping with. It’s a calculated risk whenever we or anybody else participates in bareback sex, even monogamous couples. It’s also a calculated risk everytime you perform unprotected oral on somebody too, and plenty of people do that.

Yes I know all forms of sex carries risk, even herpes that can’t be sti test detected. That’s the risk we all take. I just wondered what relationship and trust do you put in someone to go bare. Just a curiosity question

With us it’s generally been based on how comfortable Pumpkin is with the guy, and if he genuinely ‘gets it’ in terms of the kink, which is ultimately what makes it worth it. Trust is built with connection and is needed to take that risk. There have been odd accidents in the heat of the moment which have always been followed quite necessarily, by testing x
