Don't really get Bratty

Just seems silly / childish

What am I missing!?

That's ok, you don't have to understand how others think.

But in brief, some people like playing mind chess with each other. It's all a game of strategy that as long as both sides are aware they're playing the game it hurts no one. And for us personally it's a heck of a lot of fun

I agree, it's a way of relating with and to somebody

we had a bratty unicorn for a while, but we had to let her run free, she turned out to be too bratty for us

I have a partner who probably meets the definition of being a brat.. as in she has a sharp tongue and has plenty of attitude.

But there's no games involved, no punishment...

But that's our dynamic...

If a Dom takes themselves too seriously or becomes flustered, I'll usually be a bit bratty with what I say because it breaks the tension and adds in a bit of humour.

It is not childish, and does not involve acting immaturely. It takes wit to be a good brat, in my view.

For example, if a Dom messed up a knot when tying me up, and I could see he was getting frustrated, I might comment "so, you're not a scout leader then? Abu Hamza could tie a better knot."

It might elicit a very small laugh and an eye roll. For a brief second we've both broken character, and it reminds us both that we're here for fun and to relax and enjoy ourselves.
