Those of us currently using iPhone 5 and the new iPad will no doubt be aware of their ability to "screen grab" content (my son told me how its done and seemed to know all about it as it happens a lot on face book!!!)These shots go into your photo stream and can the be edited and used as a source image for any purpose . It occurred to me that our pics are not safe and could end up anywhere on any site under any guise . I personally find this a bit disconcerting and have removed some of the more compromising material from our profile. Just a word to the wise really peeps .

You can screenshot from any laptop and most smartphones. There really isn't a way to stop people taking a pic of there own screen which is ultimately what it is x

One of my buddies on here has had a head and shoulders pic, completely normal, stolen, probably this way. The faker was reported, had a couples profile, with (I assume) stolen female pics too.

The profile was reported and deleted, but the same female pics then popped up on another couple profile, created later that same week.

We reported again. Deleted again.

Some of those pictures were pretty revealing, and lord alone knows who 'she' really is. You can bet they were stolen from a genuine user though, just like the male ones that were used.

You can save images from the site anyway, even if you couldn't you can still press 'prt sc' and copy it into paint. So it's nothing new.

Maybe Fab could start to stamp users names on pics that are uploaded onto peoples profiles ?

I thought that they did have a digital stamp to stop people uploading onto porn sites

No pic thats put on the internet is safe so if you're worried then don't put them on for people to see

You can watermark your own pics using photoshop or other similar softwear

Yep if you're worried the best thing to do is to watermark your pics with your fab username.

Don't do it at the bottom of the pic though as it can easily be cropped. Somewhere near the middle is best

I'd worry more about having your profile settings to enable deets to appear on google searches and the likes turned off

I use another 'bdsm' contact site and it's rife on there. People watermark personal photos across the middle, and there is a way of searching an image someone sends to see if its fake too.

Its called Tineye reverse image search. On some sites (not here) people steal porn pics and pass them off as themselves. The reverse search shows where the image really came from.

Im guessing it might work for a personal pic too, so long as it was on the net somewhere though.....
