Being a younger guy it’s definitely harder to get into the scene solo. Especially as people think you’d go for anything. But obviously when you want to try something and see where it goes surely that’s allowed? I know for a lot of people it’s a lifestyle as they’ve been doing it for decades but that’s obviously not an option for us younger people

I was mature for my years when I was that age. Mainly spent my youth generally dating women many years my senior as I just seemed to connect better than with young women my own age who just sort of seemed lacking in some of the things I valued and a little immature.

Maturity and where your at as an individual is individual. It's not for us to say all very young adults aren't in the right place. And neither is there any system to be the bench mark of if adult of any age is suitable for the lifestyle.

Therefore all we can is take people as we find them and hope people use good judgement and don't exploit vulnerability (obviously this is ideal and not something that always happens). We have in our time in clubs met some great young people and been very suprise as to how young until they tell us. Likewise we've met some who in our opinion are really not in the right place (not necessarily just due to age). Personally we have some young adult kids so for us anyone close to those ages would not really feel right. But it's not for us to police others fun and desires. Although sometimes find it sits a little uncomfortable with us when we see couples where one is say 18/19 and the other 30+. Just because we know that however mature you are a 18 there's no substitute for the formative experience you learn in your 20s and there is just something feels a bit off about that power mismatch when someone has just moved out of adolescence. Especially with the benifit of life experience and seeing/experiences of so many iffy things in the past when very young adults are with far older adults. But we take people as we find them so that doesn't mean it's always bad just in general something that as a default sits uneasy.

Closed them quickly and actually felt a little bit sick...

Would be nice if not only being able to have message filters for age but actually not see profiles, or have them hidden.

Actually, they can. Legally. It’s called Gillick competence, the guidelines used to determine whether or not a child is able to give their own consent, but medically, consent is a sliding slope and not a clear line. Similarly, the age of consent is below the age to be exposed to porn and adult images for a reason. So children can legally consent to a milkshake though it might not be good for them, and 18yos can be on fab even though it might not be good for them. Simple.

My daughter started swinging at 18. She was brought up with a libera latitude to sex and her body. She has never had mental health or body dismorphia issues.

Perhaps it’s time we all started to see the positive slide effects of sex rather than hiding it away.

lets just say the teenagers of today 2023 are not the teenagers of my day, my generation knew nothing in comparison of modern day teenagers. we never had the knowledge of the internet and mobile communications. our generation had the phone box at the end of the road. I was sexually curious and awakened at a young age so why shouldn’t others be the same? I’d find it quite a turn on to meet young and open minded people, so long as they were of legal age the other critical factor is I would not want to feel as though I were taking advantage of a vulnerable person (that would be a massive turn off anyway), though that applies to any age also. There’s a difference between naivety and inexperience.

I have to admit it makes me uncomfortable. I know they are adults at 18 but.....

As a mother of 2 20 something's and a teenager I wouldn't even want to believe that they could be doing this. And if any man 15 years + older than my daughter at 18, touched her I would hunt them down and chop it off.

Also I work with vulnerable young adults with mental health problems. They are just young girls and even though legally they are adults emotionally they are way below that. I've seen how they can use sex as validation and the thought of older men preying on them makes me sick to the stomach.

If you have raised them to be open with you and open minded I don’t see this happening. If they have a kink for olde men/women then why shouldn’t they be allowed to experiment. If it isn’t hurting them mentally or physically I don’t see why you would have a problem with this. My daughter tells me when she has Mamet and who with. She is 22 now and has been. Doing this since she was 18. That’s a safety thing and I would never stop her doing whatever she wants with whoever she chooses. Wether I approve or not is irrelevant.

I think it’s great you have that relationship with her where she’s comfortable enough to communicate with you to be safe . At a certain point it’s not for you to approve or disapprove , it’s her life
