Why can't some guys take no for an answer and keep on trying to convince you why you could change your mind or even worst your standards and attractions? Why do I bother with a profile if they don't read it? A no to me is a no and should be respected same as individual wants and likes.

Am I naive?

You will be there forever if you keep trying to be nice. I've learnt that when they get too pushy just block them. Harsh know but it has to be done x

No, just recently joined.

I am afraid most men do not read profiles, and go straight to pics then the 'send message' button. You can choose to filter them, or if they become a nuisance, you can block them. Or do what I do and ignore them. No means no, and if they pester you just delete and move on. Good luck!

I wish I had the answer for you,unfortunately some guys egos are that fragile that when they get knocked back they simply can't understand it!

I'm sure Freud would have had a field day if Fabs existed at the same time as him.

Thank you, I find it rude to ignore people so I always try to reply. But I'm getting fed up with pushy guys and am becoming short and it gets me when I'm told I'm rude just because I'm not interested. We all have standards right so why should I change it? Yes it's about sex on here but I want to enjoy it and I can only do that with people I find attractive to me. We all view attraction differently so why to be nasty about it.

Sorry it just that today I got lots of it and it got to me. Thanks for being understanding

As others have said, use the message filtering options to restrict if possible. If you are getting pestered and are being spoken to rudely, you should report them and block them.

You are an individual, who is entitled to what you want from this website, and like in life, you don't and shouldn't have to out up with it.

Try not to let it get to you, although I appreciate, it's not as easy as that sometimes.

Take the good advice of the people who have posted above and block those who won't take 'no' for an answer. There ARE some genuine guys on here, but it seems that we're outnumbered by the cavemen.

Not had any problem to be honest. Had a few try their luck with some "quirky" messages but all have taken no quite well although we do often get the "well if you change your mind blah blah" message back.

The problem I have is, I am nice, then when someone I'm not attracted to sends me a nice message I will sometimes say thank you, this doesn't mean I want to continue the chat, but that is what they think, so then it gets to the messy point, where I have to say sorry, as nice as you are, you're not my type, this is when I usually have to block

hate it when they turn on you for being nice.....that sucks

Having had a single female profile on here as well as a couples one, I found guys far far more pushy with me as a single female than as a couple. Maybe it's because the polite thanks but no thanks messagest come from mr even though I've written them! advice to OP-don't worry about being nice,.don't take any abuse or bullying, send a polite no thanks message if you want and then block straightaway before they can reply. Ms

I think saying "sorry, as nice as you are, you're not my type", in the first place, should stop any further contact. If they don't then yes blocking and reporting is what is needed.

Ive never had a guy doing this but I have had plenty of women! They try to convince me that their guy is the best thing since sliced bread but im really not interested in that. 12 messages a day off one particular couple!

fair play for trying to be nice, some people do indeed have very fragile ego's and no manners as well. Try not to let it get to you as you will also find some very nice charming people on here.

ps funny how some guys will even use a thread like this to chance their luck.
