So is this an actual thing in the swinger's lifestyle? The secret pineapple symbol If you see someone wearing a pineapple or in their shopping trolley, and they have a pineapple upside down, they could be part of the swinger's community.

I only ask as I've just seen it on the gogglebox, and if it is, I'll be taking a closer look at peoples shopping trolleys

I'd say a pineapple is just a pineapple the vast majority of the time.

I have a pineapple in my trolley most weeks when I go to Lidl , as far as I'm concerned it means nothing other than my kids like eating pineapple. I never give any thought to which way up it goes in my trolley.

I also have pampas grass growing in my front garden, it was there when I moved into the house and is still there because I think it looks nice.

some one has always and always will try to make a sign for swingers its rubbish it never works ...the list is long from plants to ornament to different colour hankies and so on just rubbish and can see a few slaps in supermarkets for those who think this is real ..

Many many Years ago sort of 70s 80s they used to say that a pampass grass planted at the front of a house signified a swingers house. Apparently.

I’ve swinging for nearly 30 years never heard the pine apple thing must be new amongst the younger swingers
