This is mainly aimed at guys, although some couples too.

If you message someone and don't get a reply, it's really not worth message again to ask if we're shy, or if we're not interested.

Our 'no response' is your answer.

Additionally, if you're going to message someone, put in a bit of effort. There is literally no reply we can have to 'not sure you'll respond but here's me shooting my shot'

What was it Einstein said??

I know I probably sound right up my own arse but this is supposed to be friendly advice

Morning both

We read and delete if not interested, says that on our profile...the follow up messages get deleted too and occasionally blocked when its continual... about 1 message in a 100 may spark an interest

Our profile says 'try again later' but this isn't aimed at those who may try once a week/fortnight/month.

We do try messaging back even if to thank them on compliments, but honestly it can be very overwhelming the amount that we get

There have been some very well put together messages but they are very rare

Being relatively new to the site we always (naively) used to send a polite response, especially if we were not interested. But the sheer lack of effort in the initial messages has become tiresome. Filtered out messages from single males altogether now. The poor couples messages seem to be late at night, which would suggest it’s a particular half of the couple who has the horn and is peppering inboxes left, right and centre! (T)

I always try to put a decent first contact together but appreciate that couples and single ladies have a massive choice and that they have to out time wasters. Given that if I get a reply even if it's to say thanks but no thanks I appreciate that but I don't expect to receive a response happy fabbing everyone

I use to respond to all messages but most aren't worth even sending a no thanks I've found. And it takes so much time and I ran out of messages. Even when I do message now, it's changes from "not for me, have fun fabbing" to just a "no thanks".

That being said, if your profile is good and shows some decent effort. I will engage in a chat if your message matches the vibe. Plus, it's also easier for me to message people I like first. Saves my lungs exhaling as much.

I ignore so many. I have one guy that messages once a day. The same copy and paste over and over and over again.

It boggles my brain that they think that will work.

We don't get every day, but yeah same message on a regular basis, and gets the same instant delete response
