So I had lost a massive amount of weight 2 years ago then after a traumatic year and a half I’ve put it all back on.

I’ve experienced how different people look and treat you just regarding your size even though im still a loving caring person who needs sex and cuddles the same as I did when I was a size 10. My confidence atm sexually is low.

Has anyone else felt like this?

Does size matter that much?

As a fat bastard who’s never really seen it from the thinner size, yeah absolutely. Always thought it was mostly in my head but have spent a lot of time wondering how life might have turned out if I had been 5 stone lighter.

Size for me doesn’t matter that much. It’s certainly about the person inside and if that is attractive.

I think size only comes in to play if it restricts certain positions or it’s a health issue.

A woman can be sexy and appealing if she knows how to play it right.

Being big girl myself do have thoughts about size and weight but since been on here get plenty of attention and had no complaints. Might not be the best place for ego or confidence boost but works for me

OP, I have been on the "bigger size" most of my life, with briefly joining the ranks of "slimmer people" a few years ago, when I managed to lose a few stones (but then put it back on, eventually). Bread is my biggest weakness, sadly

Anyway, coming back to the topic- there were, are and always will be people who prefer certain sizes of others. To be honest, I had the misconception that I can't be seen as sexy and desirable with extra pounds on- too many beauty magazines rams that down our throats on daily basis. However, once I found my clothing style that suited my body and made me feel good, my confidence went up. Also, when I got introduced to swingers clubs, I realized there are people of all shapes and sizes who go there and still have fun. So to hell with all the "you have to be size 6 to be beautiful"!

It needs to start from you, OP, you need to start to like yourself and stop being too harsh on yourself. Believe me, there are loads of people who would happily do it for you.

Hi Ashley, I think the 'thin waist' craze is something of the past and has been phased out over the years (atleast I hope). People are realising that there's beauty/benefits to all shapes an sizes.

I personally used to chase after woman of a certain size and have recently been sold on larger women (like, wow!)... it's actually become a preference of mine.

Either way, you be you and I'm sure the rest will follow

When I was a size ten I looked skeletal and repulsive, I had zero confidence in myself and so people didn't find me attractive. Now I've curved back up to a happy size 16 I love my body, and I get a lot more attention than I did when I was skinny.

A lot of it has to do with how you present yourself I think. Confidence is often a fake it til you make it kind of thing. Nobody is everybody's cup of tea, but if you can be kind to yourself you'll find other people are more inclined to be kind to you too.

trust me when I say this, if you're confident and own your body guys don't care, if you're on the slimmer side guys will look at your body and if you're on the larger side guys will just stare at your boobs

Size is more than a number. At my unhappiest I was a size 0 and I was the most miserable I've ever been. Now I'm heavier, I'm way happier and that seems to come out in my confidence! Love your amazing, gorgeous self and everything else will fall into place! Own your beauty!

I went from 12.5 stone up to over recently when I had to stop work with a mix of severe depression and and diagnosis of COPD.

I’d be too scared to get intimate with somejne now should they find me hideous and I collapse into a breathless heap on top of them….

OP I totally understand how you feel. I have days where I feel completely undesirable and I’m full of self loathing but then I can have days where I can look at myself and see a bit of what other people are and can feel quite sexy. There are definitely people who do genuinely like a fuller bodied/curvier woman.

One thing I have noticed on the swinging scene is that it’s all about confidence. There are some very sexy larger ladies out there who seem to do very well and the one thing that makes them standout is their confidence.

I’ll also add that I have slim/athletic framed friends who also have their hang ups about their body too. We’re all just too harsh on ourselves and need to see what others see in us.

According to certain geneticists, a majority of humans are hard wired to seek mateship with those perceived as most likely to be physically compatible and able to continue the species. Something which apparently goes back thousands of years. Instinct etc when mate seeking.

Others hint that issues with weight could be (not universally) related to low mood/depression...
