Are we "fakes"?

Hi All,

My partner and I enjoy sex. We like watching porn. We like going to clubs, getting dressed up/down (?!) and being in generally sexy atmospheres. We've gone as far as being in the same room, watching and being watched, and would do the same again given the right situation (and people). But we've never swung with others, and haven't really felt any need to. We try very hard not to lead people on, but sometimes feel that what we do may be considered fake by "true" swingers. Is swinging that black and white, or are we -acceptably - at one end of the spectrum? Do people have any other suggestions for sexy fun? Maybe live sex shows, lapdancing etc. that can be enjoyed by both partners. Or maybe similar websites not quite so much aimed directly at swinging? Or are we ok on Fabs, as long as we continue to be open and honest?....

Nope not fake )as far as I can tell. What you describe is just a part of what turns you on. Tor and I have been to a club, watched, played with each other and Tor put on a show. Do this for yourselves not someone else's definition of what a swinger is!

This is how we started. We went to clubs and only played with each other and played in public rooms etc. In fact we actually still do this a lot, tho we do swing with others when we wish.

The key here always is to please yourself and not others. .

Just continue to do what turns you both o n and to the level you find acceptable

We are currently in the same situation as yourselves. We have been to a club, have had same room fun as our own couple and generally like the voyeur aspect. We have not swung fully yet as it is a big step for us.

I guess you go down the path which is most comfortable for you and you decide your boundaries. Our next aim is for Gem to meet a bi woman to see how that goes. If we dont like it we will carry on being voyeurs and going to clubs. We really enjoy people watching us do our thing.

I believe there are some swingers who say that we should not be on the scene but just remember everyone started in the same position and each chose a path. There will be many who also support and there is also the social aspect of the scene. Its not all about the sex lol

We don't lead people on which is the best way to be. It is hard telling people no when there is no attraction but that is life.

There are many couples profiles on this site who are clearly men! They are the ones who are fake and mis-leading people

Definitely not.

Every couple sets their own boundries. Even the couples that seem to be the wildest & most extreme will have their boundries.

As long as you are clear before meeting people about what these boundries are then you are deinitely not timewasters.

If people upset you then use the block button. There are a lot of people on this site and a lot of them will not go to a club or meet. Just sit at a computer and dream about it. Who cares just do what you enjoy....

Entirely up to you how you use Fabs, and how you categorise yourselves - assuming you want to. Okay, up till now what you seem to have been into is Voyeurism and Exhibitionism. That's fine if that's what YOU are comfortable with. And that's what Swinging is all about - being comfortable with what YOU want and are doing.

Over time, your 'Swinging Journey' (can't believe I said that!!) may take you down other paths/directions, but that's YOUR business.... and no one elses..

Not fake at all. Swinging is a very broadterm that means many diferent things to different people - voyeurism and exhibitionism most definitely fall in to that.

Plus you say yourself that you try hard not to lead anyone on, it's not like you are telling people that you are something you aren't.

Thanks for all the responses. It's reassuring to know as we really don't want to mess about or offend but do find just being on the periphery of the scene a turn on. We'll carry on as is for now then, but maybe alter our profile a little.
