"Any one find it frustrating that some people use date format if mmddyyyy Why??? Am I missing something here I always go by ddmmyyyy How are we supposed to know that 10/02/2024 is the 2nd October 2023 and not 10th February 2023 Please help, it a massive problem xxxx" It is normal in the USA to do mmddyyyy. It apparently was how the British wrote days in the 19th century before aligning themselves with Europe. Hence 9/11 being the 11 September.

"Blame it on the Americans. Like imperial measures - they won't join the 20th century " I saw an article after the war of independence the Americans wanted to go to metric and had a French bloke sailing over with a meter long brass rod and a kilo weight, but he ended up being plundered by a British privateer. The Americans tried again but by then their relationship with the French had worsened and it never happened. So long story short they got stuck with imperial due to the English.
