Hubby and I are hoping to attend a few clubs in the future.

We're both in our 50s and I wondered if anyone could shed some light on what the general reception is to more mature people, I personally would feel more comfortable around people more my age too

Depends very much on the club you go to. For example in the West Midlands you should find you are fine, but I appreciate it’s a long way from you.

I'm sure you'll get lots of responses on this but from my fairly limited experience there are plenty of older people in clubs and they are very welcome. Infact there's a whole range of age groups.

If you avoid the London scene, you'll see that whilst there's a good mix of all age groups.

If you find a club, I'm sure that you'll find interesting folks in the general age bracket that you seek.

It's also worth considering that the club reviews are completed by around 1 percent of the members who go. So don't read too much in their profiles because it's not representative.

At the clubs we frequent the crowd age range is a large spam. You'll be fine, we are!

We felt the same and also a little body conscious. Within 5 minutes we were completely at ease and had an amazing time.

We’re both in our 50s and we’ve been to many clubs.

Never felt out of place for our age.

Please don't hesitate. Was one of my biggest worries. M (55) there's every age range going to clubs. Dive in. Wish we had sooner. Your here for a good time, not a long time.

We have attended quite a few clubs from Newcastle to midlands. We love the Leeds clubs, Liberty Elite and Purple Mamba.

We are in our 50’s but have a young out look, but never felt out of place at the clubs we regularly attend.

We went to Pandora not long ago on our first club night and honestly, there was a mix of ages. No one appeared to be out of place

From our experiences it’s never been a problem in the past for us. Dee loves younger guys and there’s always a good mix of ages and types in the Midlands clubs so she’s never been disappointed.

I will add, most people who go to clubs know we are all there for the same thing so whilst you might get the odd idiot generally the people you meet are nearly always friendly.

There’s always been a broad age range at any club we’ve attended so never let that put you off
