bored with straight swinging

at risk of sounding ridiculous i have to admit to being slightly bored with normal swinging - i know this sounds slightly daft - because how could such an activity be boring! but in the end of it as we get older i am finding that the predictability of it all a trifle tedious - perhaps its myself i should look to - perhaps i should look for different things - perhaps i should take a break from it all so i could be tempted back when the mediocrity of it all becomes a blurred memory - not really expecting anyone to agree with me - not really expecting many response but i thought i would drop my thoughts into the mix and see what ripples xxxxxxxxxxx

That's understandable, sex isn't the be all and end all, it's great fun and enjoyment, but only when it's great fun and enjoyment.

Maybe you are seeking something else right now, up to you to find quite what it is, maybe you will return in time, and maybe you have done all you wish to do.

predictability, mediocraty.........at the risk of sounding rude are you really talking about swinging

Went to a house party in Devon last night and neither of us could use those adjectives to describe the fun we had

no your not being rude at all! and i have already been told that perhaps i need a break lol i think i have come to regard swinging as a bit vanilla - so i should either rest from it or try something new lol xxx thanks

Perception is what matters, not fact but what you see as exciting etc etc.

any thoughts on what you may like to do instead of swinging if you are seeking that extra thrill?.

yes your right - in regards to perception i mean - i need to talk this one through with hubby as i know i am looking for different 'thrills' - no ideas yet but i am going to give it some thought

we found ourselves at exactly the point your at, a few months ago, so just mixed things up a bit, a few different scenarios, new clubs, gave us a new out look and now addicted again, its like in convention marriages things allways need spicing up now and agai, hope you find what you are looking for, and feel free to mssge us and we,ll tell you exactly what we did x

I know what you mean, i've been doing this for about 9 years now and find it very difficult to find things to interest me, if you do anything enough times it becomes the 'norm', and the norm isnt exciting

absolutely agree with that 100%

if it gets to the stage where it becomes mundane, then why would you do it? I think the people who do it for a while do take breaks away from it otherwise I think all you do is end up burning yourself out...

maybe it is time to take a step back... not talking about leaving the site of anything, but how about a bit of time just to recharge the batteries and get that buzz and excitement back...

Funny enough we were having excatly the same thoughts ? We dont want to end up swinging fort he sake of swinging

you have several more exotic interests, concentrate on developing them for a while, get away from vanilla and try the other flavours on the counter. im feeling the same way right now, and have not yet decided whether to take a break or play differently

Hi and have to agree totally in what this post says...

At the moment, Martyn ( my other 1/2 ) feels the exact same way, think we may perhaps have been over doing it of late so he has decided to have a little break.

I however, still love the excitement of the '[meet'[ so after long chats ( yes there were a few ) we decided i should carry on having fun and use it as another way to swing where i come home and tell, sometimes show him by video cam , what i have gotten up to.

Think there are loads of way to spice up any relationship and this is just one way we are currently trying, and yes !!..lol.. it's certainly working very very well !!

How odd, we were talking with friends over the weekend and she was saying that she really can't be arsed right now and to tell you the truth we feel the same, but then we remember feeling like this at this time last year and the year before that, we just put it down to the crappy weather, lack of sunshine and generally just wanting to sit at home in front of the TV in our underpants while we eat the contents of the fridge.

it is kinda hard knowing that xmas is in just a few more weeks. Could well be the thoughts of all that plus the fact the after xmas, we are getting stuck into the house 100% with decorating and new floors, furniture etc..( can just picture a few blokes panicking now ! ...lol ).
