I had kidney stones once it was grim, I ended up in hospital on morphine to dull the pain. The doctor who saw me said that it rated higher than childbirth on the pain scale. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

In order of most to least pain for me:

Kidney Stones

Gallstones

Heart Attack

Guessing the more dangerous they are, the less painful they are. All the docs told me that they are all worse than having a baby but they were probably just trying to make me feel less of a wuss for crying.

Sounds like you need a chiropractor, they will have you in positions you never thought possible, and you will come out in more pain than you went in, but the following day you will feel like a new woman. Nothing worse than back pain.

I worked of diet, always have d*unk lots of water daily and increased exercise (which seemed to make it worse). My Doctor prescribed me Allopurinol to take daily. That was about 5 months ago after a year of constant attacks. Not an attack since. Sometimes a that tingle you get before an attack but it never develops into an attack.

Broke four ribs quite badly 2 years ago. Wasn't so bad at first, and the hospital only gave me paracetamol and sent me home.

But on the second day I had a coughing fit and muscle seizure. Honestly felt like I was dying! Couldn't breathe, crying from pain, total body lockdown.

A twisted testicle last year was a close second in terms of accutenes of pain.

I thought I had a fairly high pain threshold, I lived with hemmeroids for years without complaining, passed kidney stones, reset dislocated fingers on the rugby field (and finished the games), worked all day on building sites with broken bones, gave myself sutures in the mirror etc.

So I thought I was a pretty tough guy! But that rib incident is the only time I've ever been reduced to tears by physical pain!

Having to get circumcised as an adult. The procedure itself was easy. However the after care was not so good. While I had painkillers and anti inflammatory tablets, for most of the six weeks while healing and the stitches dissolve they offered no medicine that would help stop me from getting an erection. They only said try not to get an erection as it will pull on the stitches and can tear them?! Avoiding getting an erection while I was awake for that time was fairly easy considering how painful that would be. However when I could sleep, I have no control over things and every healthy male naturally has one or more erections through the night. I can not even begin to describe the pain I would wake up in and how panicked I was that I’d tear the stitches and open the wound up x

Something I saw elsewhere was asking what is worse, giving birth or being kicked in the nuts?

Since no-one can experience both, some might argue tgat it's difficult to say, but think of it this way.

After giving birth, after some time, a woman might suggest having another baby, but you sure won't hear any man say 'I'll have another kuck in the plums, thanks'
