HELP Deleted our secret folder by mistake!

Hope there is someone who can advise me.

I had a "secure folder" on my Samsung mobile which we use to store all our naughty pics and videos from the last few years since we both opened up to each other after 20 yrs of marriage.

All content was just of me and the wife. Unfortunately I did a factory reset when upgrading my mobile and after realised that secure folder on a Samsung does not back up, I should have saved them somewere else first before resetting the phone.

Does anyone know if there I still a way I can retrieve the content?

As ppl will know it's not nice to loose your history of secret content like this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you looked on Google pics? Sometimes it saves pics from your device on your Google account. You can also use a locked folder on there.

Yes looked on Google pics and nothing there, I did make sure in the past that I didn't save to Google pics.

Also I did try using locked folder but it is same as secure folder and deletes eveytime you do a reset.

I wish I had just saved everything on fab now as a backup place. Atleast I could have downloaded the content again.

The locked folder on Google should be available on any device you sign into your Google account on.

I think if you have no back up and have factory reset the device you have lost them buddy. Once you do the reset all data on the phone is gone sadly.

I just checked and it says, install Google photos, items in locked folder will not be transferred when changing devices.

And previously I did hav a pic in locked folder, but on this new decide it says folder empty.

So I think on Google locked folder, it saved just in the device your using

Shame really, was like a history of growing old together and our naughty trips away, it was just stuff of us only as we have never swapped or played with others but still worth alot to us.

.Aube il have to look into ordering a type C usb drive which can be plugged into the phone and used as a drive. With password on, and hope never to lose it

Check if you have a recovery re files and data at times all data can be recovered their normally is a set period like within 28 days then totally gone so check the folder might go to junk folders and click recover all

Tried this, no joy.

These folders are good to keep stuff private but I realised late that once they gone from there then that's it.

I won't be using these folders again, you could have alot of stuff in there and could lose your mobile and it's all gone.

Normally if you link your device with a laptop you'll see files that you wouldn't on your device and able to recover and able to recover as you're transfering all files so any deleted would show plus time and date and files size

Yes forgot to mention the reset handset I no longer have.

I think it is what it is, and I will go down the route of getting a type c flash drive and save direct to there on my mobile aswell as secure folder, for any future pics and vids.

To anyone who like me uses solely secure folder to save theit content, I'd advise doing a seperate backup to, as many of you will know, this private XXX content can be priceless for some couples

But even if you're using another device everything is normally backed up by your email but if you know what type of folder it was maybe your account would still be active so you could recover the files via it worth a shot
