So what age gap is too much? What is ideal ? Does it matter ?

Have you had grief for an age gap relationship?

It should not matter as long there is connection and attraction

After all we are here to satisfy each others needs...

Age is just a number as long as you’re both comfortable with it then it’s fine. I’ve got two girls 18 and 20 so personally don’t look at younger than 25

I think when one is below 25 it matters. After 30 most people are fully who they are and have the life experience to not be taken advantage of so it doesn't much matter after that point.

Obviously people mature at different rates so those are ballpark numbers. Some are naive children in their thirties and forties, and some are mature adults in their twenties, but generally if someone 40+ consistently seeks people younger than 25 it throws up some red flags for me.

Not got a problem with age gaps. I Mr have generally dated a fair bit older than my age over the years.

However I'm not in the camp that as long as someone is over 18 it's OK. People do mature and understand themselves at different stages. So just because a large age gap sexual relationship is legal doesn't make it healthy. I have in my time seen a few iffy situations with a very young person with a significantly older person. Especially when it's an older guy younger girl. Sometimes a dimension and power dynamic that vibes predatory and almost pseudo legal, if you know the vibe I mean. Not always but I've experience it a fair few times over the years and it feels really dodgy. It's not saying young women are daft just there are often playing in a different league of life experience from guys who may use their experience, assets and game to their own manipulation and unhealthy aims.

Not to say it doesn't happen with older ladies, younger guys but it's not so prevalent I think. I think that's down to the stark difference between the male and female experience in life.

Age isn't a kink for me. It also has absolutely nothing to do with looks or experience.

I joined here aged 52 with plenty of life experience but virtually no sexual experience and I'm well aware there are lots of men and women in similar situations.

I'm also aware there are people in their 20s and 30s who are much more sexually experienced than me but I don't see that as an attraction.

My current lower age filter is 41 and is specific to my daughters ages but in my time here I've never met anyone more than 10 years younger than me.

I’m not sure it’s specifically the age gap that can be an issue, it’s the age of the person at the bottom end. Yes it’s perfectly legal for 40-50 year old to sleep with an 18 year old but it says rather a lot about that person, and none of it good as far as we’re concerned.

I agree as others have said - theoretically it shouldn't make a difference but relating to people wildly different in age can be difficult and get in the way. I did once have sex with someone half my age (30 and 60) but as she was the person who introduced me to Fab, we did have something in common as well as having been work colleagues.

The key to age gap relationships is the energy, they older must keep up with the energy of the younger ( or the higher energy if the older is more energetic)

My first wife was 10 years older than me and after 17 years together it became more obvious as she did not rase her energy to mine, she was getting to that age of just settling into life where I was still striving for success and the next big thing, and ultimately ended our marriage.

My new wife (Dr) is 7 years younger and is incredible our energies match and because of my previous experience I am so aware of ensuring this continues. Looking forward to a lifetime of fun, love, respect, laughter and a bit of naughtiness thrown in.

We all have some sort of a specification in our imaginations when we go to meet a person for fun, personally i never set an age range as an important criteria , by evolution we have developed as visual creatures, its what the eye see's which grabs our attention and not a set of metrics such as age or size.

I look at the bigger picture age is no guarantee of quality or a good time, but each to their own preferance

Our birthdays are just 6 months apart, so the only the only experience of this we get is with others.

Like some others have said though, the age of our children is a natural emotional barrier.

Where there is someone below that barrier, we don't chase, but we will play if they are the right kind of people. That is what is most important to us.

Almost certainly, and understandably. Although it’s perfectly legal for a 36 year old to have sex with a 16 year old, it’s a world away from a 46 year old having sex with a 26 year old.

Anyone who thinks a 16 year old isn’t being exploited in that first instance is a walking red flag.

Ask yourself this, at 18 you can pay taxes, be thrown in jail with 40 year old gang leader and violent offenders, you can start a family, be allocated a council house, get credit, have a job. Join the forces and die for your country. Be held liable for any mistakes, drive a sports car, and a million other things.

So, why do people assume they are not capable of picking any person they want to fuck.

Millions of people sit in moral judgment on all of us for the sexual swinging choice we make. We know they are wrong, how dare they tell us we are all perverts etc.

"Funny how society reacts to this. Is it based on a fear that someone in the relationship is being exploited?

Almost certainly, and understandably. Although it’s perfectly legal for a 36 year old to have sex with a 16 year old, it’s a world away from a 46 year old having sex with a 26 year old.

Anyone who thinks a 16 year old isn’t being exploited in that first instance is a walking red flag."

Yes I think you've hit the nail on the head. I'm 62 and wouldn't feel bad about being with someone say 40 as you'd expect them to be a mature adult.

That’s pretty much where I’m at with it, I also wonder how many people for whom ‘age is just a number’ would be happy with their 16-18 year old daughter bringing a 50 year old man home.

When I was 25 and on this site I met up with a 72yr single woman. We would meet once a week at least, I would even spend 2 or 3 night a week with her sometimes. She had a 42yr son at the time.

It didn’t bother me, she just wanted our “relationship” to be discreet and kept behind closed doors.

I would love to meet a older woman again

There’s 24 years between us.. age is just a number, as long as everyone’s of legal age, consenting, and not hurting anyone, what does it matter.

That being said we got a canny bit grief in the beginning and occasionally get a funny look but I hardly notice anymore. We’re happy, that’s all we care about.

I think if you’re just meeting for sex as long as both parties are of legal age any age gap is fine, if it’s a relationship 20-30 years if the younger is over 20 X

I have met some women especially in my younger days of swinging that were keen to meet someone with the biggest age gap possible. To be honest I still find this a turn on.

Are any older females or couples are into this?

I thought i’d share my opinion as a younger guy and in my eyes, age should not be a factor providing all parties are adults.

I’ve met and spoke to some people on here who are absolutely okay with the age gap/my age (and the fact I have a baby face). On the flip side, I’ve had others just be downright horrible about it.

As some other users have mentioned, it all boils down to connection and the maturity levels of those involved.

I think in terms of dating it’s a little bit different as societal norms/standards are the big thing that makes a lot of people choose otherwise but as long as you’re happy, who cares.

Have you had grief for an age gap relationship? "

I had I ‘nice one’ when I mentioned a girls age who I was going to meet, and also a ‘why would you want to meet a 20 something?’

For me, as long as I click with someone, go for it, you might have a really good time, however long that might be. thumb)

You think that thinking a 50 year old wanting to have sex with a 16 is predatory is the same as arranged marriage?

I’m afraid I just don’t buy into the whole ‘all grown up’, ‘wisdom beyond her years’ thing that a patriarchal society has going on about young girls.

A 50 year old man having sex with 15 years and 364 days girl means prison and a lifetime on a sex offenders register, one more day does not make it better in my eyes, despite what the law says.

I’m just saying I don’t think it’s predatory for a 50 year old to want to have sex with a 16 year old, if they both want it.

I’m not saying it’s the foundation of a good relationship, but also looking down on it as a parent I think misses the perspective of the 16 year old. Who in my opinion can make their own decisions around who they want to have sex with.

Then again I’m not a parent, I only have my own perspective and experience.

When I look at a 16,17, 18 etc. year old I don’t see a man or a woman, I see a child. But I do realise that is just my perspective.

My view is that if both parties are consenting and informed about their decision then it’s up to them. I doubt any 16 year old would want to be with a 50 year old but if they chose to then it’s up to them provided it’s a mutual thing. Irrespective of the gender of the parties. I also think there’s huge hypocrisy for example around actors, pop stars etc. where we are encouraged to desire them, the terms Milf , Gilf, dilf etc come into this too

I’ve always enjoyed playing with people round about my own age but it’s also nice to enjoy sexy with someone much younger too.

As long as it’s legal and consensual and enjoyable what’s the problem.

This topic always amuses me.

Obviously people are going to say as long as the age is legal then all good but people have preferences and opinions which they are entitled too so in all fairness, there is no right or wrong answer (unless someone says below the legal age) then ofcourse that is wrong on so many levels x

We have a pretty large, and controversial, age gap.

Prior to this relationship both of us had dated solely in our age bracket. Save that I had a stint of dating 8-10 years older than me.

When we met. Neither of us were looking for anyone. We certainly aren’t looking for an age gap.

It was a happen chance meeting. Despite the age gap we had a lot in common. Enjoyed each others company. We had a soul connection. There was a mutual physical attraction too.

We both struggled initially with the fact of the age gap and parted ways for a short time. We both had age appropriate relationships during that time which didn’t have the soul connection.

We came to realise that relationships the success or otherwise of a relationship isn’t caused by the age of the parties and decided to have another crack of the whip

We no longer have concerns about the age gap

It wasn’t why we came together at first and it isn’t why we are together now

It is a non issue

I understand that strangers hold views about it. He doesn’t understand it and thinks it is no one’s business.

I also think it is no one’s business but if perfect strangers wish to comment on our relationship in matters which don’t concern them I would be delighted if they would also help me out with paying my credit cards down whilst they are rooting around in matters that don’t concern them

That being said we got a canny bit grief in the beginning and occasionally get a funny look but I hardly notice anymore. We’re happy, that’s all we care about."

Our age gap is 22 years and yes like you got lots of looks when we first went out together but never bothered us and 29 years later our sex life is still amazing

Any gap is fine if both/all are into what they are doing with all others. Informed consent is informed consent, anyone else's ‘morals’ are irrelevant.

"Usually go for people 40 +

But met people in clubs, assumed they were in their 30s and actually were 28 and the connection was there. So from 28 "

For me I think for a relationship then probably upto 10 years either way

Just for one off casual sex well it’s just based on physical attraction so any age 18+ as most likely meet once , fuck then never meet again .

As long as it is all consenting adults then it's all fine. I don't judge, I have slept with older and younger. I would find probably lower than 20 too low for me. No higher than 60 but it would really depend on vibe, attraction etc.

I think the age gap naturally sorts itself out us oldies will be heading to bed while the youngsters are heading out to play.

Whichever one you are comfortable with - my partner is 14yrs older than me and I find I have so much more in common with him than men I have met around my own age. There’s less hang ups or need to be following a crowd when older you seem to find yourself and have a comfortableness with who you are - that in itself is attractive. I find he grounds me but excites me at the same time, I can be exactly who I am around him xx

"So what age gap is too much? What is ideal ? Does it matter ?

Have you had grief for an age gap relationship? "

Had a play with ladies 40 and 25 on a few occasions, gf was 10 years younger but we looked the same age. Nobody commented.

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

I’m currently in a series of hot chats with a woman who is 15 years younger than me. That gap doesn’t bother me and apparently doesn’t bother her!

If you are old enough to be their parent it’s just creepy and weird. Dress it up all you like but some people on this are seriously disturbed. Ask yourself why you like someone that’s close to teenage years

As long as you're both of a legal age and consenting then any age gap is fine surely

I would say it really is situational but I think anything beyond 15 years is a bit far

All age gaps are fine, so long as both (or all) parties are old enough to fully consent.

I honestly don't understand why anyone gets annoyed with age gaps.

If 2 people find each other attractive and enjoy sex with each other, how is that anyone else's business?

Obviously legalities apply but if an 18 year old and a 60 year old have sex, both consented, both enjoyed it, what's the problem?

I had a long term relationship with a man 20yrs younger than me (he was 38, I was 58) and assure you theres nothing creepy or disturbed about me! Maybe ask yourself why you 1. Think as you do and 2.automatically think of teenagers.
