We can’t quite get our hearts around this term still being used.

Should it ?

Not starting a war, just don’t see the reason it’s still needed !

Why do we need ‘race based’ themed only parties ?

So an interracial party means mixed race yet a ‘party’ can mean only one ?

It’s not a dig, it’s a simply a question on why.

If I see a party advertised as interracial to me it indicates that the people attending like to swirl and definitely enjoy people of other races

I wouldn't assume this to be the case at a party that didn't specify that

You could ask why clubs need to have bi nights, or BBW events, or BMFC nights, or age themed nights for under 30's/40's, or any events targeted at specific sectors.

Because like it or not, or find it crigeworthy or not, labels like those attract people with specific preferences, tastes and interests. It's effectively just marketing.

I guess it's to make sure people know what they're stepping into. If you browse profiles some will have racial preferences and maybe gives a heads up that they might want to visit a different party that night just like someone who is only interested in heterosexual play might feel uncomfortable on bi nights.

I see the point in the OP but maybe it's best to view such things as a way to ensure people are more comfortable in the environments.

But I feel a bi party is very different from a race party.

I think it’s a fine line between all ‘party’s’

And again down too personal preference

Like would a public nightclub host an ‘interracial ‘ night ,or a ‘BBW’ night

It feels (to me ) a dated concept but also respectful

I don’t know maybe I’m rambling

No its a good point, there are some black men themed parties as well as the bmfc but I've not seen a party dedicated to interracial women or general interracial parties.

Surely if for whatever reason your preferences and tastes lean towards interacial play then it helps to see events advertised as such as logically there'll be a higher proportion of your ideal company present, rather than just turning up to an 'event' or 'party' to find everyone is white? I'm no fan of race profiling when it comes to swinging but understand that others feel differently.

And I'm curious - why would a 'bi party be different to a race party' ?
