Timewasters

Are timewasters just virgins who are jealous they’re not getting any sex, so try and ruin it for everyone else?

What other reason would people interact to set up a meet and then disappear or not show up?

Should we name and shame time wasters or is that a dangerous precedent as there’s nothing stopping those time wasters falsely naming a genuine person.

Wonder if the site could operate a policy whereby if someone is reported as being a time waster by a few people, they’re removed.

And yes, I’ve had 2 in the last week!!

Naming and shaming will get you in trouble as it's against site rules

Loss of nerve?

Change of mind?

Family matter?

Turned up, saw you, ran away before you saw them?

Running late, you left before they arrived?

Misread the message, so went to wrong location? Or correct location, but wrong time?

The site deals with all reports of inappropriate behaviour, including no shows. Just report and move on.

Learn from your experiences, to aim to improve your strategy. If you get repeated similar outcomes, it's very likely that you can up your game, perhaps in many ways.

I get a lot of late night time wasters.

Start chatting, talk about meets, talk about outfits and activities and then... boom they're gone.

I wonder what just happened...

Many reasons and also fake profiles lol.

I've leant and wont meet unless we have chatted for a while and these days done some video chats with them. Can be very difficult to know what went wrong but if they suddenly disappear completely thats a sure sign of fake to me.

When I was married we went to meet other couples and females at take aways or restaurants and done an about turn and run lol. Mostly due to fake or very old pics and seeing something we recognise and know straight away they are Not for us lol. But always message them back and tell them why we didn't show up.

Everyone has a different definition of what a timewaster is.

I've never had a no show in 6 years and I know from so many of these threads that I'm not the only one. The only timewasters I've ever encountered have been those who wasted their own time by not reading my profile. They should already be ashamed of themselves so naming them would be pointless.

Naming and shaming will always be abused so a much simpler solution is to take a step back and ask yourself what are you doing that is attracting so many "timewasters"?

If you keep doing the same thing over and over while expecting different outcomes it could be time for a new approach in how you vet those you choose to engage with.

I have had one "no show" many years ago and it was certainly a scam avoided.

Rushed meets are more likely to fail in some way, either no show, or you see them and wish they had baled on you.

I find a few weeks chat s out the dreamers and liars. Then its usually a good meet.

ill disagree with that ive never been let down with a spontaneous meet from fab ... its so easy to spot a messer or a fake ..or nerves / people unsure all so easy to spot and avoid i /wee actually find the longer your taking to some one about meeting the more likely its to be fake that our experience of the scene after 30 years of being on it ... spontaneous meet 100% more reliable

It probably depends on what you are looking. My 6 years here are my only experience in the scene but I don't meet often by choice.

I've never done spontaneous meets so can't compare but most of the complaint threads about no shows involve people arranging to meet without chatting long.

I chat for weeks and sometime months before meeting and if the chat fizzles out without meeting it's no big loss and I don't see it as time wasted. That approach has never failed me so I don't see any need to change.

The only time I've been accused of being a timewaster was when someone contacted me on a Saturday and suggested I meet them at a club event the following night.

The fact it was a 10 hour round trip on a Sunday night and an invitation only event didn't seem to matter so they told me I was wasting their time

Do you do sex chat before you meet?

I've never had a time waster in over 10 years. People sometimes have to cancel but it's always with notice.

Fab is not a babysitting service.

Time wasters are an annoying fact of life in Fab, and nothing you can do but block their profile and move on

My most recent one, only two weeks ago; a well verified solo female, who has met a mate of mine from here, very good communications, and looking forward to meeting this month. Until she blocked me mid conversation, for absolutely no reason I could see…..

But then, only Wednesday this week, I met a woman for a social who has only been here for three weeks, and is unverified, so go figure. It is what it is, just don’t forget there are genuine people in here who want to meet

I think time wasters is just part of this lifestyle.

I now ask for a voice call before a meet and ask to talk to both of them .

Seems to be a lot of guys that wank off to the fantasy of sharing the wife and the wife has no idea about it

we gave up the long game years ago thats where 90% of the messers are any chat over a week we / i lose interest im here to swing to have fun with others not build personal relationships where i know there ins and outs thats not swinging thats seeking more than swinging .... take the sex out of swing and you have ??? not swinging for sure ...

forums apart (tiny anyway) nost swinger meet for fun yes thats a element of socials too but some have turn swinging into a complete social event and claim thats how swinging should be yet 90% of swinging couples swing for fun / sex and i say 90% because those that used clubs and social gatherings are very much in the minority 10% or less ...

look theres no right or wrong at the end of the day everyone will play there way but if people keep getting let down then the really do need to look at themselves and ask why rather than blame those whom they are making things easy for ..

also need to get away from this 100% men blame game women couples tv trans there messers amongst all of them the only reason men stand out is the sheer %s of them

As a couple we agree entirely about your comment on blaming men.

We find its generally couples who mess about, couples who get too pissed at parties and cause friction.

Whether its men, couples, single ladies etc etc if you are a pain, time waster, can't behave in nice company, we smile, say nice to meet you and move along.

Loads of lovely, fabulous people out there and we've met lots of the good ones.

Not all timewasters are men, loads are woman and couples.

We get them all the time. Seem to be a magnet for idiots and timewasters.
