So my friends have just got everything they need to make a gloryhole at home. They subject of how high to have the hole came up and they were unsure so what I’m asking is, what would you say is the best height to have the hole.

Any other tips for them would also be appreciated thank you

My nan’s spare room.

I love the way that you are genuinely asking for a friend.

Go high but have a box to stand on for the vertically challenged.

I’m going to assume they’ve made something fairly permanent out of stiff material

Personally, mine is a fabric one and it’s on tension rods so I check out their profile for their height and adjust it accordingly. If it’s permanent, well they’ll need a longer oblong. Over 6’ would be willing to crouch a bit I would think.

Doncaster

Why not just put a vertically elongated hole in, say for instance 4" wide by 16" in height, then have a bit of fabric with a smaller hole, the fabric hole can then be adjusted up or down the larger verticalhole depending upon the height of the visitor...

Worthing

I have a long sheet of heavy weight neoprene fabric (you can get this off ebay specifying a width and length). It's sealed at the top with a loop allowing an adjustable curtain rod to be threaded through. This allows securing to a doorframe. Height is easily adjustable so hole can be any height really. It can be rolled up for easy storage.
