Meet on an afternoon or evening for a few drinks in a nice bar/pub, doesn't have to be alcohol. Good natural flowing conversation with lots of laughter.

I don’t want to eat food in front of someone I’m trying to impress so it would be just a couple of drinks for us in a bar. I’ve done coffee shop meets but never feels very sexy so a bar is better.

A short lunchtime drink for about an hour in a nice local pub is enough for us to get to know someone.

If they bottle it we can still have a good lunch then go home and fuck each other for the afternoon.

I agree drinks for first social. I tend to disagree that food makes it a date. But it can make it difficult to extract yourself if you find you actually don't connect with the other person and want to leave.

Something unusual is ideal . Last one I arranged was seeing beautiful street art, walk together and then sharing prosecco in a nice bar after.
