Age range

Although I respect anyone's decisions and personal preferences

It really frustrates me when someone's age range is something like 33-57 etc when I can fully assure that 95% of the time my maturity and intelligence levels are higher than that of someone of those ages, particularly the lower range.

Anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

Sometimes..... sometimes i am real impressed by how some people round 20s are acting and thinking, there are hidden gems out there with wich you could have a full super nice conversation and spend good time together(not involving sex)... same goes for older people wgich could act as kids...

I fully respect this but the issue is alot of profiles can't be contacted due to age range

When you fit the criteria but are blocked from messaging because you are just outside the age preference...ahhgggg..lol

Frustrated at getting older..as still fit as a fiddle and in great shape plus all bits working as expected

I can be flexible for the right person, too young seems wrong somehow but a couple of years wouldn't kill anyone. Depends on the connection.

Some people have them set in Stone and won't meet a day outside of the age range, others flexible.

Just move along, you'll find something better probably anyway

On the subject...

People have their age range and filters for a reason, some might have different reasons than the others.

Some might have theirs set in stone, others might use it as a guide and maybe reach out to you if they like what they see.

It might be frustrating for you but it's not frustrating for the person with the age preference which is the whole point of having those filters.

Some might ask why my lower age filter is 41 and not 40?

The answer is that I adjust it every year and it will remain 10 years above my eldest daughters age because that's my preference and it's very much set in stone.

If that frustrates or upsets others that's not really my problem.

When you get older you'll understand just how cringe we all were in our 20s

My age range is set mostly to cut down on messages pure and simple.

If I see someone outside the range I have set I can and have made first contact.

I don't know why it annoys people do much that they can't message someone on here. There are plenty more they can message so concentrate on those people.

Why get frustrated with people's preferences? Our age range is set like this because it's our preference. I have no interest in meeting anyone younger than me. Your 'gaurentee' of maturity etc isn't going to be enough to change people's minds if that's their preference just move on and look for people who are interested.

I have my lower age limit at 34 ,I wouldn't drop it 5 years as I find I get on better with people that aren't miles off my age .

A year or 2 I can see why people can feel frustrated,but when it's more like 4/5 years it would be a no from me & I have filters on to stop people outside that age range contacting me.

We use it as a guide. We'll talk to anyone so long as they can string a sentence together and are respectful. But for meets Mrs M generally prefers +/- 10 years of her age. I'm a bit more relaxed and go by the feel of the personality etc
