Do you find it annoying to put effort into arranging to meet someone, (we'd been chatting most of today, but had been chatting on and off for the last 2 months) come back on line and find he's deleted his account

It happens to me a lot. What is really annoying is when they keep setting up a new account over and over and are clearly doing the same to others. I don’t know why the admin or who is in charge can’t recognise the same email account or IP and automatically stop them

It hurts doesn’t it? Finding someone you can feel a burgeoning connection with, even over messages, is a heady feeling, and I sympathise with that disappointment. But it is a bullet dodged - imagine if you’d met that person and *then* they’d disappeared.

If he comes back, which I don't think he will, he'll need a good explanation,

That's true, especially if it turned out to be a good meet

Personally I wouldn’t believe anything about the account(s)

Probably fake pics, fake bio, possibly even fake veris, just a dreamer.

Report and move on to someone who can prove themself.

It's also annoying when you've received an email notification of a message or wink, but when you later log in here, there's nothing to be found, because the sender's apparently left the site...

....and then there's when you get notification of a wink, but when you log in and try to view the profile, you can't because it's 'hidden' or 'blocked'...

....I've had both happen this week...

Not sure people want to use things like 2FA, and you can hide IP addresses or use VPN etc

Unfortunately it does happen. I’ve had women and couples disappear after chatting and arranging to meet. At least it’s not like one woman who I met after a social who stood me up after getting a hotel room

somerset

i dont want to knock guys because there are so many good ones on this scene but when you have a massive unbalance of gender then add on top of that the number of guys who will then fake womens and couples accounts or are just here to wank or troll then there going to be alot who get led up the garden path ... im not saying women and couples dont do this but again the sheer number of men will unbalance everything including being right or wrong

Speaking with couples I've met they tell me that they are plagued by people, well blokes mainly, who are either fake fantasists or just idiots.

Makes it bloody hard for the genuine people to be trusted.

Annoying when you've blocked someone. They then start another account, trying to make another meet with you. If they have been blocked, they are blocked for a reason.

Sadly it is a feature of sites of an adult nature.

Some people just get off on leading people on and toying with them.

It has happened to me too and some are very convincing. They usually pop up again with a new location, career etc., but its definitely the same people over and over again.

Just mark it down to experience and keep trying.
