I inquired about this with a guy who had hidden his veris.

He advised me that he was told that showing your veris was bad, I asked why, he had no answer. Blindly following advice for no reason was enough for me to "swipe left"

Than again, we get/leave good verifications, I am sure people can write a bad veri's? So, are the bad veri's hidden?

Anyway I like to have my veris on show cause I meet many people socially as well, not always have sex.

I find it strange if they don't show veri's.

Agreed. Some people have been here for over 10 years, and going to a munch / party can mean they've met many people but necessarily had sex with them.

Hiding numbers, to me, is more eyebrow raising.

No, I haven't mailed them. It's written on their profile (and a few other's). It's not aimed at one particular person/couple.

I've been on here a few year's, I've had/got a few veris,(some of the people I've met have now left the site) but I prefer to have just one on show, my preference

Yeah I grasped that. I'm just pointing out that by hiding their own it indicates they've got high numbers themselves.

Just means they don’t wanna meet people with loads of veris. Doesn’t mean they have loads themselves. Don’t over think it.

Veris do more harm than good in my opinion and I actively ask people I’ve only met in Clubs/ socials not to verify me because I hate a profile full of veris from people didn’t play with.

Just what people prefer, no big deal

We hid our verifications after one too many 'i notice you met X, I've met them so you should meet me too' or 'i see you met y, can you tell me what they're like'

Hundreds of verifications over a very short space of time does put me off if they're not social veris. If that makes me hypocritical I'll take it

I do look at them. Interesting when some of the different ones look to have been written by the same person in terms of style, grammar etc. At the least shows a degree of willingness. I dream of having more veris! Lol

I also use the verifications to see who they have slept with a. Because there is a lady locally I dont wish to sleep with the same people she has and b. If I find the profile of the people they have slept with off putting then I won't meet them

Equall as hypocritical as those who insist on seeing face pictures but have no pictures on their own profiles, or those who say they don't want messages like 'Hi' or 'How are you' and yet, if you message them a nice, carefully considered and constructed message, they come back with 'Hi' or 'How are you'

I hid all my veries at the start of lockdown because of a stalking issue and then couldn't display them again because of the restrictions on the site at the time.

At all other times there are veries I keep hidden because I no longer want anything to do with those who left them.

I have had people contact some of my verifications to ask about me and not in a good way. They weren't seeking a recommendation but wanted my name and facepic.

On another occasion a woman who couldn't contact me because of age filters messaged some of my verifications asking them to get me to message her.

When they said no she started a forum thread asking me to get in touch.

I obviously didn't but it showed that verifications can be misused by others.

We had similar problems in the past and now don't use them at all.

It's tricky because we're in the lucky position as a couple we don't need to but single guys don't have the same freedom if they actually want to meet people
