Live in Scotland Play in England

I love work trips away. If I had my way I'd opt to work in a different country every month. I work from home now but can't take advantage of this right now as my youngest is still in school

Are you currently or going to be working away?

I travel a lot for work and it's part of my life, not just work.

I travel around the Uk with work on a regular basis.

Great for finding new people but I’m often not in the same places over again so didn’t build up anything regular!

SW Scotland

Only have to do it occasionally now and don’t mind it that way.

The money is always better but I miss being home and seeing my family.

Work all over the U.K. every week and had some great meets from Bristol to Edinburgh and lots in between.

I travel for work quite a bit.

I’m quite a solitary person so I quite enjoy it. No pressure to be social. Can be by myself without feeling guilty. You end up eating really badly though.

Of course, if you’re so inclined, it also means that you can meet” a lot of like minded people… it’s always good to be a new face in a city.

I (Badger) have worked away for 20 years until last September. Long hours, high stress, ridiculous miles, trying to function out of hotel lobbies.

It’s not great for your mental health and it takes a huge amount of discipline to stay in shape and not eat crap all the time. Has its perks though, the conversation Rosie and and I had about joining fab would never have happened in person (it was a naughty texting session).

Happier to be earning a lot less, be at home regularly and being part of the family again

It suited me when I worked away, you get to meet people from all different places and backgrounds.

The down side was being away from the kids, and the getting up at silly o’clock on a Monday morning

The novelty of hotels and average food soon wears off.

I often have to work away.

Love the thought of being caught scrolling through my wife’s pics at a bar and being asked to see some more

I work away in UAE and GCC area a lot.

Still in hope of meeting a few like minded souls out there for entertainment!
