Well it happened again, 3 days of chatting, the guy had verifications, even sent us a message saying he was setting off....then no show, no explanation, just gone offline! All that time and effort wasted.

What do guys get out of wasting peoples time.

We've lost count how many times that has happened to us.

We never waste the time as we love playing just the 2 of us. But it's bloody infuriating, especially with the build up and excitement

Used to no shows 10 meets, 8 no shows 8 blocks. Why am I attracting the wrong people? I’m a lovely, respectful guy if only someone would give me a chance. Not getting better as I’m 58 soon

There is the option to report them to the site owners via the reporting system. Not sure what the punishment is, if indeed there is any, or how it prevents them from creating a new profile, but it is there.

Just move on, from my experience second chances only lead to more disappointment.

Just gotta move on from me X

Yeah we agree, best to just block and move on. Can't become bitter over these things, it will send you over the edge on here it happens so often.

We had a guy like that on here (we won’t name him) but he turned up almost bald, he had a wedge haircut in his profile picture and was about 6 stone heavier as well - his excuse, he just hadn’t got around to changing his profile picture !

It truly is the worst. In my pre sifting days I had a few like that.

More stringent on checks when I'm in the mood for the search.

Somewhere near

It's not just guys that let meets down.

I won't meet directly from here. Always at a club then if no show the evening isn't a total waste

It's horrible when it happens, so always have a backup plan, least then it doesn't feel like it was all done for nothing. a reserve can turn into just a social quickly leading anywhere

No show is just rude. At least message, call or something. Or show up say hi and leave if it is not for you. Arghhhhhh I hate rude ignorant people.

Cant speak from experience because in six years here I've never had a no show or been one.

You say you wasted all that time op but in reality it was only 3 days.

From the numerous threads about timewasters and no shows there is always a direct link to the time spent chatting beforehand.

Those who chat for a few weeks or in some cases months before meeting very rarely have no shows.

There is always a greater risk of it happening when you prefer to meet more quickly or aren't interested in socials.

It’s happening more and more often on here. Loads of messages, arrange a time and place, a couple of hours before… radio silence. It’s frustrating but there’s not a lot you can do about it. Just block and move on,

Thankfully it's never happened to me but I would be extremely reluctant to give anyone a second chance unless they could prove they had a genuine reason for the no show.

We’ve never had any no shows. We just started meeting again and both women turned up as expected. That’s either down to luck or good communication.

Contact him for and explanation something genuinely could have caused the no show something unexpected or dropped/lost his phone. If you see he's been online but just isn't communicating then use the block button and move on.

We've had our share. Not loads but certainly been messed about, either no shows on the night or ghosted before hand.

It's annoying for sure, more annoying when you've met them before played with them and know they're worth a second meet.

Unfortunately you just have to block, move on and chalk it up as part of the experience. It's possibly part of the reason we haven't rushed back into meeting anyone since stopping through Covid restrictions.

We have had a number of similar experiences in recent months. Lots of chatting beforehand, promising veris etc. So frustrating and such a turn off. As some others have commented already, we have decided to only meet any new guys at clubs from now on. Just block and move on.

I do remember meeting a couple at a hotel bar, she was clearly so happy and excited, first thing she said was I can't believe you showed up! We have tried to arrange a meeting like this have been let down 5 times in a row, wow that sucks, I can see why people get angry

5 times in a row?! That is bad. I wonder how they were selecting people.

When I (female) had my single profile I would say 50% of meets were no show.

I said that in a previous thread that, a guy text me to apologise he was running late could we still meet up. I said it was fine text me when you are close, an hour later got a text saying he was on his way, three months later he still has not turned up. After I posted this I suddenly got a text (forgot to block on phone) ask to meet up. X

They said 3 were verified and one they had met before, just ghost them on the day, sad really as they were so nice and fun
