With everything going up but not our salaries, can you still afford to go out and party? What cut backs have you made since electricity and petrol prices increased? For example, I filled up my car, only half a tank and spent over £12 more than last year it all adds up

less drinking at the pub and more drinking the aldi/lidl rip off of my usual drink at home.

In the summer i bought a one bottle of beer at King Cross station for £11, ive just bought 36 bottles of the same beer delivered at home for £21. Absolutely insane prices when I go out now.

Yes I can still afford to go out. Our heating costs are low though thankfully. Fuel is a fortune but that's nothing new. We work hard and need some quality down time together. All work and no play is no good for anyone.

Thankfully not one for going out to party these days so that’s a bonus I’ve not really made cut backs as such with house sharing with sis she keeps to certain times for heating so dug my electric blanket out heard that’s suppose to be cheaper. Currently waiting to move into a new build house and know I’m going to feel it when I do move. So just trying to save as much as I can as I’m sure it will be a different story then

I can't really afford to go out much. I keep thinking I'll go to a club but then realise its £20 fuel... entry fee... food and drink.. and that's £50 better spent on my bills

Just took a job offered to me on the cards with big pay increase. As was worried about what’s coming next year should be all covered hopefully now. Even thinking of going out out this week.

I've just blown £44 on a night out to celebrate a friend's birthday. More than I've spent all year on one night but there was no getting away with it. She's on benefits and she went out last night too. She had way more to eat and drink than me. There's something wrong somewhere.

Not been affected by any of it and count myself as very fortunate to be in the position I am.

Helping my kids a lot as they are really struggling.

It's actually quite upsetting seeing people shopping with a list and trying to decide between buying breakfast or lunch for the week.

To be fair the county is in need of skilled people because of brexit there are great opportunities to change jobs or offer services for much-improved wages and conditions.

I requested an increase in my salary above the inflation rate. Real income increased as a result. I’ve been saving most of it.

I ended up spending both times visiting a club well over £100 and not really enjoying it. Definitely can't repeat that in 2023.

No cut backs here, and now that a drain on my finances has been settled I have more spending money!
