What happen to good old porn cinemas?

Back in the day, I loved a visit to a porn cinema, and there were a few around Old Street in London and 3 in Birmingham but now they have mostly gone the way of the Dodo. I know I could just stay at home and on go on the net however, where is the fun in that?

So the question is, which was the best porn cinema in the UK and what is the best today?

EMPIRE in Huddersfieldis highly recommended. The "newish" owners have made additions of gloryholes and cruising areas to encourage and facilitate sex contact. I used to live in London in 70s and went to many porno cinemas then. Oddly I can't remember seeing any action between visitors it was private wanking. Empire is very public. If you haven't got your cock out within a few mins of arriving you're probably in the wrong place lol.

+1 for empire. dont live near it but its not that far a diversion if you're driving up the M6.

The porn wasnt great when I was there, all early 2000s ben dover porn. but the venue is well laid out with a variety of rooms and easy to walk around. staff were friendly and helpful as well.
