One for the ladies but gents please do comment also.

I like to write the odd saucy scenario, as a message to a lady or just for fun. My question is what do ladies like to read? What would peek an Interedt and make it stand out from the ordinary horny guy writing fantasies?

Is it a long build up, describing the scene, lots of raw detail or anything else?

If it's easier what do ladies not like in a story?

I think it's quite difficult to give a definitive answer because as you know all women are individuals. I get bored with a long build up and phrases such as 'love pole' 'lady garden' or 'hot, creamy load' turn me right off.

With any writing I say write what speaks to you, nothing beats an authentic voice

have you listened to any episodes of "my dad wrote a porno"?

OP you are asking for advice on a variety of different writing! Do you want to write erotica to excite one particular person, or to express your own desires or what is the objective? Keep in mind most women hate copy-pasted erotica that has nothing to do with them. My personal peeve is when a fantasy is using "you, your, yours" ie. written as if it's referring to me, and then has some specific descriptions of body, outfits, behaviour that just don't match - what a turnoff.

Noooo I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, I was reminded of it though because it is absolutely loaded with the naff euphemisms and clichés you described! I guess, true to your tastes, you found even laughing at these boring
