This was a new one on me, saw a couple's profile, no verifications, on here a long time, sounded my type though so I messaged.

Exchanged photos and phone numbers, arranged to meet, met at time and place stated, etc., etc..

Their one stipulation however was that under no circumstances were we to verify each other and what I asked why the answer was along the lines of :

" What we do is private and not only do we not care for anyone on the internet to know who we have met but we don't care what others think about us being genuine or not on here "

Not something I've encountered before but it just goes to show, no tick and verifications doesn't mean someone is not genuine

I understand their reasoning, I too think the same way. It puts some people off, but that is their choice. Each to their own

I don't display verifications as had problems in the past, with people contacting my veri's to gain information about me etc.

I understand the need/ want for privacy. But just hide the veri(s)?

Had that recently with a meet, but to be honest it's always up to the person themself if they wish to display a verification or not. Their preference is just that though, so as long as they are happy with things that's all that matters.

That's entirely their choice and, if it suits them and works for them too, fair enough.

What they have said leans a bit towards my feelings about the verifications in that my personal view is that they should be displayed anonymously.

That is how it was done on my previous site and I never came across a problem myself with it, nor did any of the women I met mention any problem either.

I've encountered more than one woman who didn't want veri's and wouldn't give them either. The reasoning was that if their unsuspecting hubbies ever stumbled across their profiles by accident, it would be preferable that those profiles did not include diaries of their infidelities

I've had that - the women simply said she didn't bother with verifications an also said she didn't want her husband - who was also on the site - to know about who she'd met until she was ready to tell him - I just respected it - was slightly annoying at the time as I had no verifications...

Was previously on another site and also requested that no verifications were left, whilst on there. As a married man playing without permission, I didn't fancy leaving a trail of evidence. I do have one on here but felt I needed to get verified in order to meet. Will probably keep it private from now on, as you never know! Strangely I did get accused of not being genuine by another member even though I am verified, as I only had one veri in over a year, so it's each to their own I guess.
