Arranged a meet last wednesday in a hotel and guess what? Yes after all the assurances the couple never turned up. Just read their profile and they themselves go to great lengths to say how they themselves hate timewasters and how they will block them. Being mindfull something bad may of happened i sent a polite message asking why they didnt let us know and unsurprisingly they deleted without a response. How ignorant can some people get. Wish there was a name a shame fascility. Rant over feel chilled lol

Just try to think on the lines of 'their loss' etc and move on. It must be really frustrating especially when a hotel is involved and there has been a lot of contact, but its not worth dwelling on. Im sure they had their reasons, but you will prob never know.

This happened twice with one couple recently frustrating yes. But am trusting them but not losing sleep its their loss lol.

Lol no not worried in the slightest we had a great time. Just intreagued why they went to such lengths on their profile about timewasters and they themselves were culprits. But onwards upwards inwsrds and outwards we say lol x

Its sad but it do go on here after reading some other peoples posts over the year ... Report maybe that will help ?.... why on earth could thay not tex say cant make it .

Time wasting is the bain of this site and sadly no matter how well we think we have got it sussed; some will still pull wool over your eyes

With the hotel meet; all id say is if they where 100% genuine they would have offered to pay and split cost on meeting

and

Secondly it just one other reason why first meets should be netural grounds ie just to suss each other out then take things from there

Worth bearing in mind one of the tips from the FAQ for safe meeting:

* Don't put yourself in a situation where if someone doesn't turn up, you'll be upset. So don't travel 100s of miles and book into a hotel in the expectation of meeting someone unless you've met them beforehand.

We have been let down frequently by single guys! A large proportion are lap top wankers and dreamers!

It suits us to meet people at clubs, H is happiest there and we kind of think that it gets around a lot of problems...maybe worth considering?

Certainly means that it isnt a wasted night or hotel money!

It's OK saying its their loss etc. Say they had travelled far. Say they had paid lots for the Hotel. It is very disrespectful to do that to somebody. We can rarely meet because of kids, work etc and it can be months and a whole lot of organising for us to arrange something. Then to be let down. Bang out if order. Some people may think its a too strong phrase but I believe these people are Scumbags. While it's disappointing for all why oh why couldn't they just text an hour before? 10 minutes before? Why leave people waiting & clock watching? Even worse... Why do that and then not even apologise or explain? Regardless of sex, would it be acceptable if you did that to your friends? Your family?

It really shows these people up as ignorant Pigs. It's as simple as this... If you can't meet (like us most of the time) don't spoil other people's fun or waste other people's time. There's one good thing come of it. You didn't let this unsavoury couple into your love life.

We share your frustration after being let down by an idiot who texted us 2 hours before to say all was OK and then just didn't show. The day after apologised and said he "Got wet at the match" and would pay for the Hotel if we could come again next week.

Chin up guys. There are lots of nice, genuine couples on here.

If all they do is talk then they are already wasting your time and will do so regarding a meet. Those people are never going to meet, just convince themselves they are whilst they get off talking about it.

Although recently I had planned a meet with a couple over the course of a week then they went quiet on me and the next day after the meet date I see they had met a couple instead. That's a particularly stupid situation because if they'd said I would've told them good on you and it would've been fine!

Its something that will happen time and time again. Whether it's couple or singles. In this case, its particularly bad seeing as the couple explicitly mention time wasting on their own profile - thats a downright cheek!!

Impromptu meets, or blind meets can seem adventurous but if this happens then it is a big anti-climax, literally. There is a lot to be said for the social meet first to make sure all are OK and genuine about meeting, it will certainly out the crap without having to make too much effort.

Suppose its a risk worth taking as we do enjoy meeting strangers for uncomplicated sex. Adds to the spice lol.

Sometimes i think the problem with some couples are the one partner is keen and pushing and the other not interested also feel at times they accept meet request as they want to discuss in great detail to get themselves off and never intend to meet

After having decent luck on this site, and mentioning how ive been lucky and not had any time wasters, i think it has bit me on the arse!

There was a meet planned with a woman from stoke, exchanged numbers, booked train tickets last night so they were cheaper etc... today, no replies whatsoever.

I dont mind the odd time waster as its clear many of us have had a fair share, its frustraing when money is involved.

That could have been spent on a couple of pairs of novelty Xmas underpants.
