Newcastle under lyme

Will shortly be visiting a friend in Dublin.

I will be taking toys, ropes etc.

Is it best to put them in hand or hold luggage to avoid embarrassment?

Any interesting stories?

Wherever I lay my hat

I've had a few embarrassing moments as I rarely check in luggage. Recently absolutely packed Stansted security...put my bag in the plastic tray and as it slid into the conveyor a (very loud) vibrator started buzzing. Had to wait ages for my turn with it buzzing all the while. When asked who's bag I sheepishly told him exactly where to look for the offending item and he just grinned and said "ah very good madam - do you want to turn it off or shall I?". I bet they get that loads of times each day!

North Shields

We had a dirty weekend IN Zurich recently and had hand luggage only. We bought some toys over there and on our return gout bags got dragged to one side. We told the girl what it was and she had a good old look at the packaging and smiled and we said "they were very good". She looked interested and told us to have a great time!

Presuming it's bit a banned item, it is probably actually a positive to their day!
