No, because I value my friends and respect their interests.

The friend without benefits zone ?

I don’t try to get out of it as it quite pleasant to talk to pp who do not want to fuck you all the time.

It is exhausting to be seen as a piece of meat

If the spark isn't there, it isn't there.

(I've even friendzoned someone I DO have a spark with! Sometimes things don't work out)

If you get on as friends, great, it is good to have friends from this place, it may even lead to socials and meeting fab friends of fab friends that you DO have a spark with.

If there is no spark and the friendship is false, move on politely.

"What does friendzoned mean? Someone wants to be your friend?"

Think it's a way women feel they need to let down men because the man cannot accept rejection very well and it's hurts their ego.

Its a bit of shit phrase and mostly there to make men feel better about themselves essentially.

I rarely hear women use the phrase unless it's on Naked Attraction

Is being on the friendzone seen as a bad thing essentially or does it depend on if you want to have sex with someone?

I tend to say "they're not interested in me, that's ok"

Either you're someone's friend or you're trying to manipulate them through a pretence of friendship to have sex with you.

Pick one.

Exactly, rarely used. It is implied by the person with further intentions as a way of compensating for their rejection.

I think the bigger issue is that you've sexzoned a woman who has no interest in you, OP.

Yup, I agree with many of the comments above, but I have myself been friend-zoned not long ago. I believe the spark was there (otherwise he faked it flawlessly) but for unknown reasons and misunderstandings, I ended up with the usual: we have so much in common, I’d like to stay friends (platonic, mind me). It hurts, specially being a person that doesn’t open to other people often and being a neurodivergent with rejection sensitivity dysphoria, and it is the reason I’m not currently meeting. If you don’t face any of this issues, I think is safe to say you’d be able to get out there and enjoy the scene once you’ve reflected in what has happened. Wish you luck

Yeah everyone goes through this at one point or another. The key is how you respond in the face of rejection. Don't let them walk away thinking they dodged a bullet by being an ass about it.
