Last min cancelled meets

Last night I was going to meet a MF couple at there place. I live 30 mins drive away, before getting in the car I checked we were still on and they said yes,

When I parked up in their street I waited for a message for the house number.

I then got a message saying the meet was off

Anyone else had a similar experience ?

As a general rule we wouldn't set out without a full address. I've seen people say they've had the same experience.

Had similar once. Incredible. Uncertain newbies, had an argument. But why go without knowing full address?

Always wise to do a social first half way between where you both live.

One of the reasons we only do group meets. If one doesn’t turn up, fun is still on the cards! It’s still really frustrating when people let you down though especially considering all the time and effort we put in to arranging it.

It seems very common on here. We would assume many of the profiles that do this aren't actually couples. Many of the fakes have some verifications, so be savvy. We go to clubs, then if a couple don't turn up (only once), we'll have a bloody good night.

Seems common.

I got a couple of guys who “forgot” we were supposed to meet.

Glad I checked before boarding the train.

This

Clubs are the best option, lots of really nice people to socialise with, safe and warm environment with like minded people and if your "date" doesn't turn up then still have an amazing time.

I can see the above has on their bio they are going Attic Xmas party, if you run into my band of misfits, tap us for a drink, we are impossible to miss.

This totally

Seen so many threads like this

If it's a social not too far from you ,you won't waste too much time or petrol if they cancel last min.

I’m sure there are people who just want to see what you look like in person before deciding to go through with it.

I’ll be honest I’ve given a wrong address before, or not given my door number. Because I wanted see out my window and ensure I hadn’t been catfished before meeting them.

It’s worked in my favour a few times. Though I think the days of inviting someone straight to my place are long gone

Why not just save your self the hassle and have a quick 5min video call prior to meeting to validate everyone is whom they claim to be .. this is what I do with everyone .. if people dont want to do it then I just say bye .... not going to get upset over not meeting a stranger in any remote way ... always more people to meet

Our experiences of meets sadly are great either. 1st one was a few years ago go, we went to the guy's house he was absolutely nothing like his description/photo so that was bad and very awkward. The 2nd meet we messaged him on the night even though he had messaged us the day before as in he was looking forward to meeting and we were just ready to go out the door and guess what he said he had forgotten and cancelled.

3rd one to go to his place gave us the address and arranged for some time after a few weeks chatting and he messaged literally 2 hours before to say sorry busy for a few weeks and promptly blocked us. 4th one was a cam meet who again said he was looking forward to meeting and disappeared an hour before we were meant to meet on cam.

we totally get it is a free site but I don't and we don't I should say understand people that fantasise about meeting and then just don't bother but actually a lot of time and effort goes into getting ready to end up disappointment after disappointment which is why we say on our profile we will only meet at clubs because we've had her fingers burnt too many times

People messing you about wasting your time sucks.

Its hard to not be disappointed as you were expecting some fun, but just consider it a lucky break, go home and have a wank. It will likely be better than what was on the cards anyway.

We do live in a world where emergencies happen for whatever reason or people can change their minds and often people do especially regarding sex. I do give people the benefit of doubt but if they are repeat no shows and cancel too often then maybe its a sign of they are not right for the meet.

Sadly I had to cancel a meet as I was driving to meet her. The clutch went on my car on the way to the meet and I had to call out the AA.

The woman I was meeting was not impressed and called me a timewaster. Cus a long story short I got my clutch repaired the following morning and we met in the evening. A day late but we met.

Also, a lot of single guys are not single. they arrange a meet then a wife/girlfriend gets in the way and they have to cancel.

Yep, a guy messaged me, after a short back and forth he asked me to meet him at a particular road and he’d come to my car. I was in the area so arrives less than five minutes later.

He went quiet never responded to my message saying I was there. I waited 20 minutes then left.

Can’t understand why you would set out for a street when they wouldn’t give you a house number.

They’re already acting like twats at that point.

Spend time getting to know potential meets online. This will hopefully get rid of chancers, idiots, timewasters, disrespectful guys, fake couples, etc.

Insist on a video chat before the meeting. This will hopefully get rid of people who have sent you fake photos or photos that are years out of date.

I had a close friend do the same to me sort of.

He know I was on here. He knew I had done MFM threesomes. He said he would love to do one.

I met a couple who wanted to have a MFM threesome as the husband filmed it. I asked my friend if he wanted to meet the couple. He said yes.

A Butlins weekend was booked.

30 minutes before I was due to pick my friend up he said it wasn't for him and canceled.

Luckily for me, the couple was OK with just me coming to Butlins.

Yes had similar but it was me cancelling the meet. I genuinely injured my foot on the way to the car to set off.

But the key thing is communication. Yes, force majeure can happen to anyone and if it gets cancelled so be it. BUT. There is NO reason for not letting the other person know in this age of phones, texts, messengers and the like. Unless you're being defibbed in the back of a speeding ambulance etc...

Sure it cam be annoying, disappointing and even leave you out of pocket. But is the other party are transparent, honest and in contact then that is life.

I had a four hour round trip by bus for a meet. Messaged her when I reached the meet point and she said she was on her way but was running late. I said I would be in the bus station cafe. I waited for half an hour tried to message her again and she had blocked me. So I began the two hour journey home, feeling extremely annoyed.
