Ok, bad title, but is it? A search of our local area codes for women who have been verified genuine shows that for each postcode used (which gives us a large radius around cambridgeshire), 8/10 of the top hits describes themselves as "curvy" or "fabulous".

While we understand that society as a whole is getting fatter, there does seem to be an imbalance, at least in these counties, of fat to slim women.

Thoughts?

I do think it has become a scene where the larger lady is becoming more comfortable with herself, more confident with their body and willing to explore her sexuality further... and that is good to see...

Mrs Artful is a size 14-16 which I believe is an average size for women.

Everyone is different, everyone has their own unique body shape, so therefore everyone should be taken for who they are.

Unfortunately, society and fashion is fickle and we all get judged on appearance and not personality.

And it's interesting how no one ever starts up a 'we don't like skinny/slim' people. When a vast majority of profiles I see have mention of preferring curvy girls!! X

The best comment I ever heard in a club was by a slim 40 ish year old woman who said, "I can't believe they let fat people into clubs" to which my response was, "Yes and they even let us have sex!" before telling her husband that he might want to keep her on a lead!

The way I see it, as a lady with a big bum, is why shouldn't those of us with wobbly bits be allowed to swing. I think it does come down to the fact that society is getting bigger but also I think its because women (and men) are feeling more confident in themselves. Being overweight doesn't have the stigma that it used to.

My point to the OP is if you don't like the profiles of ladies who aren't "slim" then move along and look at someone else's. It'd be boring if we were all the same wouldn't it?

Women of a larger nature may feel easier and more confident online as oppossed to traditional means of hooking up. Think op may be right in terms if numbers tho. The moat verified seem the largest. Maybe it speaks about their promiscity!

OP, we get it, you don't like fat women and you don't think we have any right to enjoy ourselves, to get laid, or to breathe the air of the beautiful people.

You've stated a fact based on empirical evidence. What's the question? Why are there more larger ladies on here? It might well take significant study to answer that and be the basis of a thesis or three. My question is, it's a fact, why does it matter why? It's how it is. Take it or leave it.

This thread is just another of your fat shaming posts.

If you don't like larger ladies, don't play with them but you'll have to choose from the remainder, (assuming they are interested), be that a majority or a minority.

Just another post singling out fat women in order to try to make us feel bad about ourselves. Boring. Try banging a different drum for a while.

You're entitled to your preference but you're not entitled to act like everyone should be expected to fit it.

I don't think it's meant as an insult to you Julie, though I understand how hurtful it is.

Fat women, in general, are tired of being judged, excluded and insulted. We're greedy, we're lazy, we smell, we're disgusting...

I think a lot lash out at the critics without realising that the words don't just target those that prefer slim women but often the slim women themselves as well.

As a fat person, always being told that thin is the ideal we don't measure up to, I think it's easy to forget that being criticised and judged can also hurt those who are slim, and how we are told we should be.

I don't think you can class any clothing size as fat..... well maybe a size 35. A 4ft 11 person who is size 14 would look larger than a 5ft 11 size 14 person.

I am going to apologise for my comment, as I probably read it wrongly and thought you were having a go at slim people.

I think that there are people out there care to much about the packaging and not what's on the inside... At the end of the day if everyone was a perfect shape/size wouldn't that be boring?

However I agree with your post, the OP is out of line, I just don't like these threads that then are defamatory towards slimmer women as an insult back.

I vary between a size 0- size 2, but regardless of my size I am who I am and believe no one has the right to judge or chuck about insults as it is hurtful and uncalled for.

I don't know the op nor have i seen any of his other threads.

People are getting bigger, not just in the UK.

Im a size 12 atm, so I consider myself curvy. (post pregnancy weight still)

I think we get loads of abuse for asking someone very large to try and slim.

We have to accept they can be as large as they like etc.

Being so very overweight shouldn't be praised; the long term health issues are not good.

Im not anti fat but i wouldn't let myself get over a size 14.

I know that's personal choice but the human body was not designed to take the weight people put upon it.

Replacement knees/hips for young people who chose junk food over sensible food costing the nhs/tax payer Millions a year.

I already have medical problems, that are associated with 'fat people' & I've never been above a size 14.

I wouldn't wish that on anyone else's & I simply do not understand why people think being so obese their lives in danger, is good/ should be respected or even praised.

Just my pennies worth.

There's a lot more to me than my body and my physical appearance though, fortunately. And that I like.

Not entirely sure why you were searching single fem profiles as according to your profile you're looking to meet just men? Was it purely to find something to poke fun at as it doesn't affect you and who you play with?

I would also described myself as curvy. I have an hour glass figure size 10 (depending on the shop eh girls 8 in one 12 in another) but I wouldn't call myself slim as I big hips which means I have a bum to match but a slim waist and wouldn't say I'm fat either xx

I'm not asking anyone to praise being overweight, just accept them for who they are and don't use insults to try to shame them into changing.

Some larger ladies don't want to be slimmer. That's their choice. No need to praise it, just accept it.

Of the ones who do want to change, which do you think will best help them do it; belittling them and insulting them to make them want to change, or accepting them as they are, not destroying their self esteem and empowering them to succeed?

Bullying is often seen as a justified means of "helping" someone be better, or improve themselves. It rarely works and usually leads to more problems. To change, people need to want to and to be supported to do so.

I don't think you can class any clothing size as fat..... well maybe a size 35. A 4ft 11 person who is size 14 would look larger than a 5ft 11 size 14 person.

I know for a fact, a lot of 'fatties' (including myself, [to a point]) have gained confidence in themselves, through this site. Threads like this, only stand to knock this confidence.

Its been mentioned The OP is known for starting anti-fat birds threads. This poses the obvious question 'why is the OP still here if the fems here, are not to taste?'

In response to the quote: there are lots of 'slim' people health issues that cause the NHS huge bills. But no-one is shaming the slim people for that.

I honestly don't get why it's ok to be down on fat people because it's "unhealthy".

Plenty of slim people have poor diets and do no exercise. Many smoke (and some won't quit for fear of weight gain). Many drink. All unhealthy things but because they're not fat, it's ok.

Some fat people exercise regularly and some are fitter than a lot of slim people. But because they're fat, they're unhealthy.

I'm nearly 40. I've been fat for 20 years or so, on and off. My diet is poor, my sleep pattern is dreadful, I currently do little exercise and my c.v. fitness is dire, (all offers of personal training from tall, athletic men to my inbox please! ). BUT I've only had raised blood pressure once in my life, when I was in hospital and quite poorly. My cholesterol levels are good. I have a few health issues but in general, I'm pretty darned healthy.

There are slimmer people who are less healthy than me, but as the fat person, I'm the one who gets the "unhealthy" tag.

Would I be healthier slimmer? Probably, unless I develop an eating disorder trying to get there. Would I have a lower risk of developing various health conditions? Undoubtedly. Is it as straightforward as "being fat is bad because it's unhealthy"? No, it's not.

There are clubs and parties for everything. Get yourself onto one of those lists where like-minded people judge whether someone is good enough to enter their club. You might find you are too old at 40+ but that's their preference and their right to choose.

I don't know whether swinging is a fat game or not. I have met all shapes and sizes. The descriptors don't really help as I have met many an "athletic" man carrying a 9 month pregnant tummy. If that's how they choose to describe themselves who am I to argue? They may be running and jumping and tossing things around all the time but still have a big tum.

I describe myself as short, fat and old and get told that I am putting myself down. I'm not - I am just trying to use unambiguous language. Those options are not available on the descriptors so I translate them to curvy, my height and actual age and that is what comes up on the search.

I've been skinny and I've been fat. The shape and size I am now is all the matters if you want to meet me. I didn't know about swinging when I was skinny so, for me, it is a "fat game" as I've only been playing it as a fat person.

Fat does not necessarily mean less healthy than slim.

For a given individual, slim is likely to be healthier but it doesn't work when comparing different people.

And as I said, I don't expect anyone to be praised for being fat. Not being insulted is not the same as being praised.

Some 'healthier debates' come across as a little sanctimonious though. Unfortunately, I feel yours came across that way. You've never allowed yourself to get above a size 14? Commendable in the extreme. Us lesser, weak willed mortals, who care nothing for our health or the financial state of the NHS, clearly cannot say the same.

I consider myself chubby lady thou I'm told I'm curvy and get lots of guys emailing me because of my body! I like sex but I live busy work life and this seems to me the right way of getting what I want. I've never done swinging, went to my first party this week which was good, I've observed but next time I want to play and join in, and for this reason I'm on here. I'm open and honest about how I look and if somebody doesn't like it he doesn't have to talk to me, I don't make him to.

I have low self confidence thou because of this type of guys who says that big women shouldn't have sex..... But then it's his lost as big women on here know what they want and know what to do if he doesn't want great sex he shouldn't be here!

I also think it is down to individuals to self identify their body type. I class myself as curvy (this does not mean I want people to publicly agree or disagree with me) because I have boobs, a waist and hips. I know I am not slim, I know I am "fat" but I identify as curvy. It is down to the individual to choose their body type on here. I have clear full body pictures on my profile which shows what I look like - I don't shy away from it.

I'm gigantic as my health made me go from a size 8 to a 24, but recently lost 4 stone and I'm now a size 18-20. Still not ideal, but sadly its impossible to exercise for me, even my physio refuses to give me light exercise.

What are you getting out of posting a thread like this, when you are supposedly only looking for men and male-only couples?

Don't really see the point you are trying to make (if there actually is one) other than to shout 'Look at all the fat birds who live near us!!!' which is YOUR problem and certainly not theirs...

So what if a lot of people, who the medical profession dismiss as over-weight or obese, have the confidence to put up a profile on here and enjoy their sexuality just as much as anyone else?

Is that hurting you? No. You have a choice not to meet such people, just as they have the choice to stay with the body size/shape they have - specially if they are comfortable with it.

The one thing i have always liked about swingiong is theres someone for every, men and women, fat and thin, black and white, religulous and none religulous, we all swing

The thing i have also liked about swinging, more so in club is people are accepting of others, lots of larger ladies go to clubs and dress in such a way they wouldnt have the confidance to anywhere else, because most swingers are mature adults and dont judge

Of course you will always get some who do, but thats just life

The nation on a whole is getting bigger but there are still plenty of slim ladies on here, just talk to them if thats your preference

I've been skinny and I've been fat. The shape and size I am now is all the matters if you want to meet me. I didn't know about swinging when I was skinny so, for me, it is a "fat game" as I've only been playing it as a fat person."

You sparked a memory/feeling in me with something you said in there. My introduction to swinging was when I was 24, slim, VERY fit (passed a Royal Marines fitness test - oh yes!) and - some would say then - fairly handsome.

My 'introduction' to swinging was servicing a number of bored, fairly wealthy ladies in Essex thanks to the Mum of my then GF. Did those ladies (in their 40's to 50's then) want me for 'me'? Of course they didn't. They just wanted a slim, fit young guy to make them feel good for a few hours.

My point being: Did being a young, slim, fit guy who could fuck hard and make a 40+ bored housewife feel good about herself help ME with how I felt about MYSELF...?? No, it most certainly did not. The shoe was on the other foot.

Swinging isn't about how good you look - it's how it makes you AND your partner(s) feel INSIDE. And sometimes, you get the right 'feeling' with someone who may be the complete antithesis of how YOU look - it's a sexual thing, not a visual thing.

I am going to throw a hand-grenade in.. there IS an element of truth to what the OP has said.

I can only speculate why that should be.. the age of the participants (none of us 40 somethings are in the shape we used to be in no matter how hard we try) and the opportunity that some of the larger people may have to find some action through the 'usual channels'.

Hardly a problem though, each to their own. I am sure this preference argument has been on here somewhere before...

Im a big lady, make no secret of the fact and opted for ample as body type but there are plenty of guys who find how I look attractive and make reference to my curves, and plenty who also find the person I am equally attractive, if someone looks at our profile and doesnt like what they see so what, each to his own.

I havent read the whole thread so forgive me if this point has already been made but Im curious to know whether the OP did the same search on men - how many men on the site describe themselves as athletic but have photos that clearly prove otherwise.

I think a big part of this is what people perceive as fat. Although the UK average dress size is now a 14 that doesn't mean that the average person isn't overweight. It just means that society on average are eating more and doing less (exercise). I've seen many profiles where a women has classed herself as curvy and they have been far from fat. But I've also seen a lot that class themselves as average or curvy and they have been hugely overweight.

It all comes down to peoples perception and also what they're comfortable with. There are people that are overweight and are comfortable with the word fat when refering to someone that's overweight but I guarentee there are people that have took offence to the original post and those that followed that referred to people overweight as "fat".

I have to agree with the the original poster that its the same for where I am. The larger percentage of women from my area are overweight. I'm not having a dig at anyone or speculating why this is the case, it just is.

At the end of the day there are all types of people of all shapes and sizes. If you don't like someone's profile then just move on and chat to someone else.

Personally size (within reason) is not an issue for me, can appreciate a woman with curves as much as a slender girl.....for me the connection and the chemistry is much more cerebral.

It does amuse me however when I read some of thr profiles of the more BBW type (hate that phrase btw you're not automatically beautiful just cos you're big)some of whom have even contributed on here, who insist on the "more muscley type".......can you imagine a portly chap with a generous raunch paunch stipulating in his profile he's only looking for sylph like ladies with big tits? Same here, you can do things to amend the outside, but the inside is the bit that cant be changed.

Personally, it is the full package that does it for me, curves, lumps, bumps, muscles, etc etc etc so long as it all belongs to a beautiful person.

Attraction always starts from within, and no matter how good looking a person is, if they have an ugly personality or attitude, then I could never, ever consider them a beautiful person.

I don't think it's a dig at fat people. In my opinion the Op is stating what he believes to be a fact and asking if anyone else thinks the same.

I agree with him that if you look at the single women in your local area on the search that most of them are overweight. When I say agree with him I mean that most of the single women in the area I live are.

But then I guess that doesn't mean a lot when the national average dress size is a 14 and when you say that most people say "14 isn't overweight". For a woman that's 6' that may be true but for most women that are 5'6 or below then I'm pretty sure that a size 14 would put them into the overweight catagory.

Does that make them a bad person? Of course not! Does that make them less attractive? To some yes. Does it make them MORE attractive? To others YES.

I think most people would like to be a couple of lbs lighter if they were honest. Don't get hung up on every thread that mentions "fat" or "overweight". I was in the skinny (and I mean really skinny) cattegory for a long time. I decided to do something about it because I wasn't happy that way.

Fat, thin, slim, curvy, fabulous, who cares. Why can't we stop labelling people, regardless of size and shape and just have a bloody good time.

I understand people's preferences and differences but why the need for such vitriol?

Honestly the cries of 'why do women say BBW, they shouldn't be allowed to use the second B. Of course it goes to say that all slim people are facially attractive aren't they!

Or there's the old faithful 'they wouldn't be able to pull in the real world'.

Its always the same few couples coming out with these comments too.

I wonder why these same group of people feel the need to abuse on these threads. Wouldn't be anything to do with insecurity would it?

The second B was originally boned as in big boned women and it was used to describe taller women with a buxom figure. The Be for beautiful was more recent picked up by women who wished emphasise the nature of their look. If thats how they _iew themselves thats totally acceptable as its their _iewpoint. Others many not agree but thats their choice too.

Nobody said all slim women were beautiful but they don't give themselves a tag to they ?

Well I dont know where the term BBW was coined from. Id never heard of it until I joined this site. No idea who started it. I never use that term to describe myself but im not defined but a set of initials.

Id also like to ask you why you have come to the conclusion that I am wound up. I am not and I dont feel this thread relates to me in any way.

I am simply stating that every time a BBW thread is started, there are a certain few people who always feel the urge to post on them and become abusive. Albeit hiding that abusive behind select words.

I couldnt give a damn about anyones size and I dont care what people call me or describe my body as, I am never ever going to come into contact with these people, so its hardly going to influence me is it. I challenge things, not because I feel its a personal afront, but because I dislike bullying.
