I’ve been on three pills. One mini cerazette, killed the sex drive caused weekly bleeds, two combined pills, microgynon and Yasmin, both killed the sex drive. Is there any birth control that doesn’t fuck your sex drive or mind???

I'm on my 2nd copper coil and absolutely love it as a contraceptive. I've never got on well with hormone ones

Seems like you have a strong reaction to hormone based contraception.

A coil of some sort might be the answer.

The copper one contains no hormones at all but can make period heavier for some people.

The hormonal coils do have hormones but in much lower quantity than the pills or injections and for most people can stop bleeding altogether.

I had the same response to the pills or all kinds along with constant heaving bleeding. I've now had the mirena coil in for 7 years, no periods and increased sex drive!

I had to get the coil in as the pill was really effecting my moods. I've felt so much better coming off them X

I'm in Norethisterone (formerly Micro or) and would say my sex drive has actually increased over the years...

I can't use any hormonal contraception either as the hormones really mess with me. I have tried combined pill which I am no longer allowed, the mini pill, the implant and the copper coil.

Just be careful with the copper coil, from personal experience I have found it isn't always that reliable. Everyone is different though, it just clearly wasn't suited to me.

That said, my best experience was the first implant I had, it stopped my periods completely and didn't effect me any other way. Unfortunately 2nd implant did not agree with me.
