Block rather than reply

why block someone who messages rather than reply saying no thanks?

same amount of effort except one is a bit polite ha

when people reply no thanks your not my type, they can get abuse back or people who cant take no for an answer.. if u look through the forums u will find plenty on this subject and most suggest just block them...

i have pointed out if everyone blocks we would see threads asking why are they blocking haha

i know what you mean ive had people actuly send me request send them message an then they ignore u then delete you puzzles me x but then ive had few ppl who message an say sorry not what im after like i do no need to be rude x

jeez alot of people don't even get further than the "who's looked at me" section before they get blocked. some just get blocked because we don't like the tone they used in the forums!

People use the site tools differently...just their way of saying no thanks.

Not something we do but can see why some choose this option.

I seldom reply, because I seldom get a message worth replying to. The times I have replied with a no, I've always had a thank you for replying message. I've not yet had the arsy 'why not' thing... but I guess I will eventually

I usually put on my initial message , if I'm not for you just block me and that way no chance of months later sending another message to someone who has already said no .

We started on here being very polite and answering most messages but:

You say no and then get replys asking why and whats wrong with me.

They ask again the following week as if your going to change your mind.

People message from 100 miles away

Dont show pics or attach them

So sometimes it is easier just to block them and chat to the genuine people.

I have on my profile if they don't meet my criteria I wont reply. If they don't and send me a message they can expect all they want!
