Anyone else think Holdups are cheating? I much prefer the like of stockings with suspenders!

Yep, but found holdups are more convienient especially when your at your mums wake and your cousin lifts you up to give you a hug and your dress rides up giving everyone a flash of stocking top can you imagine having suspenders too

Bear in mind we were in the british legion club not sure i was capable of mouth to mouth for the heart attacks that could have ensued

Can you get different sizes ? As you see some pictures where hold ups are pulled right up to just below the bum cheeks , and some are half way down the thigh !

on monday squames travelled to london by train wearing just boots, hold ups and a long coat, would have been over dressed in a suspender belt as well lol!

Hold ups are easier and quicker to put on and you don't have to buy lots of suspenders to go with them. So more cost effective too. I wear them all the time when I have a skirt or dress on.

I have a 1950's girdle with stocking fasteners and it is devine to wear, stays in place and keeps stockings up too. M&S have an old fashioned set being sold at the moment, it looks like it would do a very good job.

What hold ups have you tried? I'm a big girl and find M&S hold ups are perfect.They're good quality, have a nice wide lacy band at the top and plenty of 'sticky' so don't roll down on me. They're around a fiver a pair.
