I’ve been with four drivers that I was getting a ride from. There was opportunity with another but I didn’t clock what they were hinting at until I’d already left the car.

In all instances the drivers were the ones who instigated it. Dropping hints in conversation, which I then pushed a little further until things happened. Most of this was when I was in my 20’s.

I worked as a private hire taxi driver a few years back and did receive a few propositions, turned them all down as wasn’t worth the risk of losing your livelihood over.

We’ve been propositioned on loads of occasions, we always stay in a hotel when we visit The Attic and get a taxi to and from the venue.

It’s a 7 minute drive each way and it really is the worst 14 minutes of the night, it’s so cringe worthy.

I was in the 90s, not by a passenger but by the woman whose house I dropped them off at who where having a party. The best thing is to first test the waters gently as you don't want to offend anyone. Make some general conversation leading that way.
