So i took a bit of a break from the site. I come back and its just the same.

So many people messaging explocit content in a first message, with the obligatory pictures and not so much as a hi.

I get this is a swinging site but a basic introduction is a given no?

The word "hi" is actually frowned upon in first messages, according to many. Since some men apparently can only wrote that word, maybe they don't have the vocabulary to replace it with anything, so you're just getting captionless dick pics. A silent sausage, if you will.

Most of these guys are most likely wanking off into a tissue. They don't have any actual conversation in them, don't care how you are and generally have no basic decency.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of those kind of guys on most sites (not just swinging ones) but thankfully, there are plenty of us out there who can hold a conversation and send a decent first message

Well had a meeting at work today and was told there looking at out sourcing my department to a different company that I work for at the moment.

All the veris tell me is men will go with anyone and a profile tells me I could walk past people on the street or see them in a bar and not even notice them... so why try and hit on them from behind a screen.

Why bother writing a message when most women don't reply.

If I see a gapping fanny pic on a woman's profile I'd assume she wants explicit messages about it.

Same with sex review veris. Why display sex reviews and sex acts if the person doesn't want anyone to mention them.

I think that the concept is that you say "Hi", but then continue with more... maybe tell them what attracted you to their profile, and why you feel that you're right to meet their needs? Probably worth adding a face pic too (but not a dick pic).

In all of my years of being a bloke, I have discovered that many women like to know that people are attracted to them for their eyes, smile, mind, sense of humour, or personality. Being in possession of a vagina is rarely a reason that makes a lady feel special.

After viewing and reading someone's profile from a local search result, if I think we may be interested in and looking for similar things, I will send a message that opens with 'Hi' - and if they're new, I'll add "welcome to Fab"...

....I then ask a couple of relevant questions and invite them to view my profile if they might be interested - and leave it at that. Some get deleted, some get read and remain, some go unread, a few elicit a reply...

....likewise, if I message in response to someone's forum post, I will open with 'Hi', and then comment, ask a question, or make a suggestion relevant to the subject about which they posted, or specifically their post itself - very occasionally I'll do the same in response to someone's 'status update'...

....I've never, ever, written just 'Hi' and nothing else, nor sent explicit pics with a first message...
