Does sexuality listed as bisexual versus bi-curious have any impact on how you view and interact with a profile and more so the person it belongs to?

Generally interested to understand the wider opinion?

At what point does one loose the curious tag? Is it as black and white as it would appear or are there different levels of curiosity?

I'd personally view it as someone who is curious hasn't had a bi experience and therefore is curious about it, bi sexual I'd take as someone who has had experience and enjoyed it.

Agree with both the above, my initial thoughts were you’ve tried it so the curiosity is gone.

But on the other hand what if you’ve tried it but remain unconvinced if sex with both sexes is for you, I would suggest you would still be curious?!

In the end of the day a ‘label’ on a form doesn’t make all that much difference as long as your enjoying what you do?!

Not seeking Definitive answers but promoting a discussion around it out of interest

We both class ourselves as bi-curious as we enjoy experimenting and trying different things and haven’t really made our minds up one way or the other yet

From a guys perspective it feels to me that there is missing description.

Bi-Curious does indeed sound like it's someone who is tempted to try same-sex interaction, while bi-sexual is a full-on description of someone who is equally sexual with either sex and potentially could have a relationship with the same-sex.

For many of us, it's somewhere in between - where 'bi' sexual activity (in varying degrees of intimacy) is only in a swinging or occasional 1:1 basis.

I chat with a lot of guys who enjoy mutual masturbation or oral with other men, but would never kiss or fuck a guy.

I know many people also hate labels, but in this instance a better descriptor would save a great deal of misinterpretation and misaligned expectations.

But from my POV.....

Bi curious could mean- all of what ppl have said- but also that they wouldn't want more that just casual fuckery with the same sex. I'm bisexual and was married to a woman.... but some women would maybe only want to sexually dabble.

I was originally listed as bi curious after reading threads where other women labelled bisexual women as the ones that had actually gone all the way.

However this gets discussed so often and views differ.

I've seen bisexual women say they wouldn't want someone who was bi curious and would want a fully experienced bisexual women.

It means something completely different for us due to the lack of options on that particular option. I (Dave) am orally bi in the right situation. I don’t find guys attractive in the traditional sense but live the open play when everyone is turned on. I have lots of experience where this is concerned. I would never meet a guy alone as it does nothing for me.

Em has only had little experience but is open to more and again wouldn’t play with another lady alone, just part of mutual fun. So what would you put us down as? I like to think of us both as hetero-flexible!!

I’m being flippant of course but in my view it is actually that simple. The only difference between the two is whatever the individual is happiest to describe them as (or indeed to not do so at all). There’s no test, no defining line, nothing that says you must be one thing or another , whatever works for you then go for it

I think if anything this thread demonstrates the problem with labels. People are trying to seek a relevant label which really doesnt exist, e g im not really bi, I dont kiss/I only suck/I dont do anal.
