Well, I'm off to meet up with a stunning work friend shortly. She works on a different department, we're meeting for work type stuff.

She's a late 30s single mum. We flirt a fair bit, I just wish I had the confidence to do more about it.

Just tell her how you feel, worst that could happen is the feelings aren't mutual but you won't know unless you make a move. She might feel the same way.

Hmm, well it seems the flirting continues. Unfortunately I've just found out I know the Dad of her first child. Awkward

Do you know of him or are you friends with him? Big difference in my eyes and also take into account how long theyve been seperated?

Known him nearly 20 years and would class him as a friend.

Bit tricky then, when did they split?

firstly you need to know if she is actually interested in you and if she is maybe speak to him and see how he feels about you dating his ex? At least he will know someone decent is taking care of his child.

Very good points. I'm pretty sure she is. This seems more than just idle flirting. Not sure if it would be too strange though.

The worst thing she can say is no, report you to HR and get a restraining order. So, I say go for it.

Not that awkward...she's not spoken for by him ..that's the way life is ..I'd say continue with the flirting...deal with situations as they arise...you're all adults
