Looking down the events page a lot of them are just people "looking to meet today" without having organised a room, location or any kind of event, you even get people asking to be invited to other people events. Are there some guidelines as to what is an event or should people be able to put whatever they like up.

not pointless at all, there is loads i suppose it would be another job for admin to check them all tho, but your right a lot of them are just guys looking for a meet and trying it via a different route, as for people making there own mind up your right in a way but theres too much to sift through on there now

Its deffo the forum that needs policing by the moderators more. Its not as though they need to give explanations, they dont' anywhere else!

Just delete those that are obviously just fishing expeditions, that is what the meet today forum is for.

The events section is a mess

And we'll give it our proper attention in the new year once new chat is sorted

Stuff like filtering events by region, distinguishing between organised events and fishing expeditions etc.

In meantime events is policed re-actively so if you see something wrong REPORT it and an admin will remove

I must be driving Admin mad since they advised (in another forum thread) to REPORT privately any EVENT that was basically a scam, sham or just in the wrong place, ie a looking for not an event.

I do this religiously every day, about 10 times a day, it's not me being pc, pigheaded, obsteroperous or even obdurate, though I can be it is just that I think the OP of the event would probably have more luck if the "event" was in the right place, mostly in the MEET TODAY section.

Also because as others have pointed out, the Events page can be a bit of a mess and too much to trawl through when it is full up with "non-events" like

"in a hotel tonight and looking for a cpl or single fem to join me"

Take a look for yourselves and Oi why are you Scottish folk the worst offenders for it.

Have been away in Wales all week so Admin has had a break from me but I am back now and hard at work searching out the bad ads lol.

Good as thier word though, Admin do remove the offending ads a number of times a day

Heya Rugby MFM - there was a Coffee-n-Cream thread started by ChocStraw some days back, but somehow the whole thread has gone missing - do threads get deleted? must have had a fair number of replies (possibly 20 in 7 days).

Just a thought.

It might be easier if each of us restricted our reporting actvities to events local to us. That'd reduce the amount of multiple reports admin has to wade through and would improve the quality of the remaining events in the area important to you.

Living in Glasgow it bothers me not a jot that some chancer in England or Wales is coming the cunt. I'll leave that to others to monitor.

Threads do get deleted on the forums, but not sure I remember one called that so it could have been another mod.

Mail us with which section it was in etc and will try and find out for you xx
