This isn't something I'm happy talking about, but he's just made me angry, quite a few months ago a guy started to talk to me, we seemed to get on well, so well that I added him as a friend before I met him, something I don't normally do, anyway we were chatting and getting on, talking about meeting, this is the bit I don't like talking about, but I caught an STI, from someone else, it was from oral as I don't do BB,I mentioned it to the first guy,he stopped talking, I thought fine, he's changed his mind, and left it at that, deleted him from friends, antibiotics cleared the STI up, but I still had to get tested 3 months later, in all that time I never met anyone, the first guy has just messaged me asking if I'm clear and would I like to meet, this is the bit that made me angry, he thought I was still meeting while I had it and didn't want to catch it, I'm not that irresponsible, I'm sorry it's long but I just needed to get it off my chest, no one needs to reply, I just needed to let it out

It's a bit crap that he stopped talking but maybe he didn't know what to say. Some people worry about offending people when they really mean well.

If a man said he had an STI would you keep talking to him? Maybe try and see it from the other side.

Hope it's all cleared up now.

He still wants to meet you so that's a good thing.

First thing that caught my (he) eye was that you said you started chatting a few months ago. Why would anyone want to chat for months on end, this isn't a social media site or dating site.

It's not his fault you got the clap and waiting a responsible time before he got back in touch is all good.

I really don't get your point so maybe I have misread the post?

There are many people here including me who can't or don't meet at the drop of a hat for any number of reasons.

Chatting for weeks or months before meeting is very common on here. Not everyone is here for the same thing or takes the same approach.
