You sweat the same amount of sweat regardless of if there is hair there or not. Antiperspirant works exactly the same as it’s liquid and gets to the skin (unless your armpit hair is a huge mat!)

Hygiene is exactly the same if you just shower every day

Again I pose the gender question, are you saying that men are more unhygienic by having hairy armpits?

I like my own to be smooth but I've also no issues going 3 weeks without doing them if I'm not seeing my partners or going out. If it's that offensive, I may start leaving it longer.

Someone I play with trims hers neatly and I love it. It really suits her and she is comfortable with it which is all that matters.
