Why oh why would you send out a friends request when your profiles hidden?

Are people just stupid? no wonder guys find it so tough to get a meet if they do that lol. It beggars belief.

Had a few winks from people with age limits of like 35, I'm over 50 lol, also people looking for couples when it clearly states I am now widowed , if baffles me as to why and I just delete them

Had it twice from the same people and new profiles and a woman with no photos.

If I've met you, played with you, chatted and made a good impression on you, or wrote something useful/funny/factual/solved a mystery for you, then I feel it's the right thing to do.

Random FRs leave me feeling like it's purely clickbait.

I don't know what to think. It's not as if I get double figures in a 12 month period.
