We are very much getting into this and wondered if there's any clubs with themed nights or even teaching techniques etc.

We can travel, Leeds/Manchester kinda distance and would just love to get social with like minded or more experienced and learn a trick or two.

Thanks in advance.

Tonypandy.

Whilst there are certainly events that can cater, it would be helpful to know what you are interested in learning?

BDSM covers such a wide range of interests.

Are you looking at some flogging and sensation play, control and power exchange, bondage, humiliation, objectification, watersports, forced bi etc or more hardcore stuff?

What Morphia says! Saying 'I'm into BDSM' is a bit like saying 'I like sport'. Do I bring the hockey stick or the darts? Or do you prefer to watch?

Obviously, it's a bit more awkward to openly say 'I want TPE' than to say 'Fancy a kickabout?', even in a fairly safe space like this. But find some people you trust - local, into the scene, experienced - and reach out to them so you can get specific advice on what you are looking for.

Although I agree to an extent with the above comments, I would suggest there is a difference between saying I am interested in BDSM and want to know more, and I want to do to BDSM with someone. The latter statement requires alignment of specific interests and needs detail.

The problem for some (and I was the same) I did not know I was kinky or what my kink was. A swinging event (GSpot in Kent) that I used to attend also held a monthly BDSM night (Club Pandora). I turned up with no great expectations or ideas and disappeared down a rabbit hole from which I have not re-surfaced.

My suggestion would be to go to the Birmingham Bizarre Bazaar or London Alternative Market (and the afterparties) and see the range of kink. Also attend kink/fetish nights ay swinging clubs as a spectator and see what appeals.

There is always a really good scene in most places. Try a kink based website. Google kinky meets

Durham

There’s a thriving kink scene near you, with several amazing munches run by local people. Quest in Leeds is the better of the two clubs for kink, imo, and runs daytime events two saturdays a month and one thursday night. I also hear really good things about a club called Mars in Manchester, which is a designated bdsm club. There’s also a kink for beginners workshop being run up in Durham. If you get yourself onto the kink-specific website that the forum doesn’t like me mentioning (it’s black and red), there’s a load more information there?

I think it’s a case of not really knowing until we try or see it. We were looking for a dedicated event really and have some good ideas now. We are very non judgmental so happy to go to something from mild to extreme and if something we don’t like we just move on with no fuss. Maybe after attending we can be more specific as to what we like and want to exlore more

SW Scotland

We attended a bdsm/swinging crossover event at townhouse in Wirral and loved it. We weren’t keen on a bdsm only night so this was an ideal night

Thank you for this and yeh this is our thoughts. We know we can look things up online but it’s nice to get ideas from people who’ve done it and we will find our kinks as we go ??

There are plenty of events held in Leeds from kink night in clubs to munches (group socials) may I suggest joining a FETish LIFEstyle website for info regarding such events.

Mr Hayes.

If you look on another well known fetish site you will find a group that has links to online workshops, these are invaluable for learning the basics like safety and consent (both very important when a person might unable to move or speak)

Get the basics down and the rest is mainly about exploring and seeing what you like, then focusing on those things to learn more about them.

Have fun and stay safe…. And we recommend rope, lots and lots of rope
