There's a thread elsewhere on here about some form of badge or recognition so fab swingers can recognise each other when out and about. A chameleon badge seems to have some support. I wouldn't rely on pampas grass!

Had this info two or three years ago.

Anyone who was into swinging planted Pampas grass in their front garden, the other so called sign was if people bought and ate "Tiger" bread!!

Cant plant the grass as we live in a flat! and we do eat "tiger" bread, not because of our activity, but because we like it! But the thought of standing by the bread dept., in the supermarket, and watching for someone to buye a loaf dosnt really appeal, well what would you say to them, " Hi there fellow swing" the next line could be guilty your worship!!
