Starting to get fed up now, every meet we have planned so far has resulted in us getting stood up following lots of messaging and confirming times. How hard is it to send a quick “sorry im not interested anymore/insert excuse”. It’s just damn rude…

It certainly sounds extremely frustrating and irritating. May we ask if you had much contact prior to being let down. As in a phone call or something so you could feel a bit reassured they were genuine.?

Seriously it maybe on the cards but don't do it booking if they turn up just say they were over booked and have a social least this way you've saved money less stress then someone just not turning up

After approx 5 years on this site we've joined the other long term fabbers who now simply accept the fact that there just are, people who do what OP has experienced. They were probably never intending to do a meet at all.

We are all aware that different people get different kicks out of this site and it's just another type of thing that some enjoy. Perhaps it doesn't even occur to them the affect it has on the people they've duped? Or perhaps they do & that's another bit they like.

Who knows.

But if you can find ways to check & reassure sooner rather than later it does help reduce the disappointment of dealing with time wasters.

This is exactly why we won’t just rush into arranging meets - our free time together is precious, and we aren’t prepared to risk it for some randoms off Fab who might not turn up. There’s no excuse for poor manners. Hopefully it doesn’t spoil your experience in future

Sorry to hear you are going through a bad patch guys. It happens to us all, don’t let it dishearten you. There are genuine people out there who do want to meet but unfortunately it seems there are a lot more who just get off on the talk and have no intention of meeting. Messing you around though at the last minute is just disrespectful.

I hope your luck changes soon. Having met you I know you are a good company and a gorgeous couple.

We found the more emails or messages involved the more it tends to fail.

Date, time, pub, mobile.

As we only meet initially for a social drink and chat it tends not to scare off people who could become frightened of a sex meet, sounds good in the bedroom but bit scarey in the cold light of day.

It's easy, if it starts to get tiresome, bin the meet.

Organised socials are a great way to meet lots of people without any let downs.

Sadly, you have to realise 80% of people on most swing sites are either dreamers or timewasters, once you get your head around this it all starts to make sense.

I don’t meet often but one things I’ve found useful is the green arrow in forums. If your prospective meet is across the forums looking for wank/fantasy talk or just talking about sex acts it’s a good indicator they may just want wank material.

It is rude. Especially when you see them walk into the bar and walk straight out without even speaking to you. Then ring later with a feeble excuse saying they had car trouble, thinking that we didn’t notice them.

Didn’t realise that partner’s wooden leg and my glass eye was that off putting!

Since we only meet people whilst travelling or when staying in hotels anyway, we don’t see it having wasted our time and money. Unfortunately, it’s the nature of the site.

22 year anniversary weekend social cancelled Friday night had massage booked for sexy k that was cancelled due to guy stuck in traffic,coming from London and a meet that we cancelled after sitter let us down all in same weekend after weeks of planning chatting so know what it’s like about also understand that things happen out of peoples control

We had it happen once very early on. We’d booked and paid for a hotel, arranged babysitting etc. and then a no show and when we tried to contact, phone not answered.....

Thankfully we were not put off and have gone on to meet some lovely people but it’s incredibly frustrating!!!

Feel your pain OP. The last meet arranged pulled out due to work, then messaged to say they we’re too nervous, understandable, offered it as just a social no reply.

Meet before that never turned up, no messaged to say sorry.

Wink from couple in area, messages to arrange something, only got one line responses to our nice couple of paragraphs. Really Is that it.

Wink received this weekend, turned out to only want advice on things to do with fab and profile.

It’s getting too hard with private meets. We are moving over to just going to clubs, organised socials and friends we know.

Sorry for the rant, but it’s getting a joke for the genuine people.

This sounds quite an obvious point tbh. Men being the majority unlikely to not go through with meet. It's those pretending to be couples,to increase chances of getting into messaging that bow out when it looks like they can't keep the pretence going much longer.

We've never been let down by a single woman or a couple.

But then that's because we've never managed to arrange anything with a single woman, and almost all of our conversations with couples fizzle out as they can't do more than one word replies and never read profiles
