We haven't but it's something I think we will look into, just a quick one to prove who you are, this is only due to the amount of fakes we seem to unfortunately attract x

we'd do a video call before a meet but happy to chat without video when just getting to know them. But to know both parts of couple are up for it and are who they say they are is a 2 min call.

Just meet in a pub for a social initially.

If they can't be bothered meeting for a drink, that's fine.

We won't be meeting.

Unless at a party, club, organised social event, swingers holiday..if none of these suit, probably not going to happen.

No I don’t. I go by my gut instinct, their verifications and how they come across messaging. I think you can tell if someone’s genuine or not…

In three years we've never been asked to do a video or voice call. Guessing now that we have good verifications that people don't feel the need, but we'd be okay doing one if asked....though we're shy so probably feel a bit awkward

These calls aren’t about sniffing out fakes for us, they’re about seeing how well we click with someone, and whether we (and they) want to progress to a meet.

Yes I always have a phone call first then a video call before a meet. Easier then leaving the house for a social. At least with a video call both parties know exactly what each other look like.

Well yes - if it was going to make someone feel awkward we wouldn’t ask or expect them to go on a call obviously, but it’s our preferred method.

We’ve also had very succesful meets where we didn’t speak at all before meeting (and on one occasion the woman in question came straight to our home, so no social either) - being able to trust your own judgement is the most important thing.

We don't and certainly wouldn't to meet another couple. We've managed this long without doing it so not starting now. Kinda feel.our veris are enough on that front.

However if it was just one of us meeting and the other party or parties wanted confirmation it was all OK then we would do it but that's the only time I think we would

Nope I have never done a video call or even a phone call before I have met anyone off here .It's never been an issue and I've never been ghosted so far anyhow. But then I tend to chat for a while before I even get to stage of arranging a meet off here.

I have had a vid call before a meeting, twice I think. That's because they were other end amd middle of the country and took a while to sort a meet. Did keep just to faces though

. Apart from that no, never asked, have been asked and said no though. As with no veris, having a vid call before a meet isn't something I've asked for before. Although I have said no.

Yes I video call people to say hi. I want to see we all look correct. That we still have a mutual attraction as video cam is far more easier for picking up on personality etc.

Everyone has a smart phone these days and wifi / 4g ..

I am happy to sack off further chats if people don’t want to do this. It’s not really something I will ever care about / missing out etc. can’t miss something you never had

Everyone has their own ways of meeting and can’t all expect to be compatible with this part

I would use the chart rooms on fab to talk with them if they want to, but I wouldn't do a personal video chat. After all it is why not use what is available on the site.

If its relating to arranging an actual meet.. Then it seems strange why anyone would not be wanting to at least speak on the phone or better still even a brief video call. It is a reassurance for all involved that Yr not dealing with a fake, you get to exchange tel numbers for added security when meeting strangers) can always block) and you get the heads up that you're all compatible without any time wasting on travelling or no shows.

Afterall this is Fab Swingers so it's fair to say there's a reasonable chance of a sexual element, so if someone is uncomfortable with a simple phone or video call before meeting in person, it would seem odd.

I've been here 5 years and in all that time every woman and couple I've spoken to for any length of time have been adamant they would never do video calls.

As I said above already I've never been asked to do one or even thought about asking someone to but if it came up in conversation it was not something they were interested in anyway.

I take my time getting to know people before meeting so that reduces risk and it hasn't failed once yet so I will carry on doing what I've always done.

I hate my voice and I hate being put on the spot.

I also hate small talk haha which is why I won't engage in it online.

I'm much better in person.

Meet for a coffee if we don't click; no worries, it's a veri for each other and networking. At last I can start with talking about the traffic on the way or that their outfit is nice and know they're actually available to meet.

A call doesn't guarantee they'll actually meet but they'll have my number and I don't like to be accessible for the above reasons.

As for assurances, no.

I'm more reassured by a public place meet than a call. I've never wanted to 'verify' someone that way.

If this makes me strange or odd or a fake, so be it.

My grumpy profile works for me, meeting actual people at clubs for the most part. If people Nedd something I'm not willing to give them in not a match for them and they needn't waste anyone time messaging me

Yes we always do this.

It’s to make sure ppl are real, and so both sides are happy.

We use what’s ap but happy to jump in to the cam rooms on here if they prefer.

We have had so many time wasters, if some one is not willing to say a quick hello on cam then it goes no further.

If you are a couple seeking to meet women as we are, you may have to travel a significant distance to find the right people. You can find out very quickly if you are going to get on socially via a video call, so it has proved a real advantage there for us.

I don’t even like phone calls with people I know.. haha. I go by veris, how they come across on messaging and my gut feeling. If we meet and it doesn’t feel the same, then I’ll stay for a quick chat and that’s it. Only happened once or twice haha x
