"I think our oldest is from 2012 and our newest from last week. What are people advertising? " Be on here long enough and you'll find someone who's not being honest about themselves. Certainly had a couple of incidents ourselves over the years where the person or persons in the photo where much younger and different than the person or persons who turned up for a meet.

Oh we've had our fair share of people who've turned up looking nothing like their photos, including one guy whose glossy black hair went completely grey in the week between sending us a photo and meeting us (he was an hour late but that's another story). We've also met couples where the messages all indicated that they were both equally into it and it was clear they weren't and couples where the lady was bi but more than happy to play straight and she wasn't. We now wait until we actually meet people before we trust anything they've said. When I asked what people are advertising I was wondering why people see others in that way. Advertising seems such a dehumanising word to me.

But when you advertise something it has to be of a similar likeness quality and standard to that that is depicted. You put your photo up to advertise yourself. Someone orders a Tom Hardy they expect a Tom Hardy and not Tom Thumb. No upset intended.

" Oh you haven't caused upset and I get what you're saying but I personally don't think putting your photo up is advertising. We meet for a coffee before we even think about taking things further because we want to know what people look like in the flesh but also because we want them to know what we look like . It's surprising how many people see my age but expect me to look about 30

"Why do people post photos r keep up photos that are so old. Seen one today from 2007. Alot can happen to people in that time. Met a couple last week who's profile pic was either taken in really good/bad light by a professional or it was 10 years old. Going to call trading standards and declare false advertising . " Let people post what pics they want if they're old just disregard them mentally. Really don't see the problem here. If I meet someone with pics 15 years old that are their most recent and they look nothing like the pics well whose fault is that? Yep, mine.

We add them as we take them lol, so scroll back through for long enough and you'll find some from when we first joined up here, no false "advertising" intended (we only do clubs where what you see is what you get) and some folks like seeing them so why deny them that pleasure by deleting them
